Mianzhu Women'S Federation And The Procuratorate Work Together To Build A Warm Harbor For Mothers And Babies And Help Build A Children Friendly City

Mianzhu City has taken a solid step towards building a more harmonious, inclusive and child friendly urban environment. Recently, the Women's Federation of the city has closely cooperated with the municipal procuratorate to carry out a series of fruitful work around the protection of women's rights and interests, especially the standardized construction of maternal and infant facilities, providing more convenient and comfortable public services for the majority of maternal and infant groups, and further demonstrating the new height of urban civilization.

Since the beginning of the year, Mianzhu Women's Federation and the Municipal Procuratorate have actively responded to social concerns, focusing on the tiny but crucial area of maternal and infant facilities in public places. The two sides jointly set up a special supervision team, went deep into the national A-level scenic spots, hospitals, urban parks, commercial centers and other public places within the jurisdiction, and conducted a comprehensive and detailed visit and investigation on the standardized construction of the mother and baby room. Through field visits, interviews, questionnaires and other ways, the supervision team not only mastered the number, layout, facilities and other basic information of the mother and baby room, but also deeply understood the problems and challenges in its daily use, maintenance and management.

In view of the problems found, the supervision team timely put forward specific and feasible rectification suggestions, and urged the relevant responsible units to act quickly to ensure that the rectification measures are implemented in place. After months of efforts, the rectification work has achieved remarkable results. In September, the supervision team again conducted on-site "acceptance" of the rectification, and ensured that the acceptance process was open and transparent, and the results were fair and objective through the innovative model of "public hearing+third-party review". The results show that the relevant mother and baby rooms have taken on a new look, not only with complete facilities, clean and sanitary, but also with perfect functions, which can meet the actual needs of different mother and baby groups. At the same time, each place has also arranged special personnel to take charge of the daily management and maintenance of the mother and baby room, to ensure that the mother and baby room can continue to provide high-quality services for the majority of mother and baby groups.

Up to now, Mianzhu City has successfully set up mother and baby rooms in 17 public places in 4 fields, including 6 national A-level scenic spots, 6 hospitals, 3 urban parks, and 2 business centers, initially establishing a wide coverage and reasonable layout of mother and baby service network. The establishment of these mother and baby rooms not only provides a more convenient and comfortable rest and nursing environment for lactating women and infants, but also reflects the city's great attention and deep concern for the rights and interests of women and children.

Looking forward to the future, Mianzhu Women's Federation will take this work as an opportunity to continue to deepen cooperation with the municipal procuratorate and other relevant departments, and establish a more perfect public interest litigation cooperation mechanism for women's rights protection.
