On October 31, Tianmen Garment Industry Overseas Marketing Center was established in Bangkok, Thailand, and the ASEAN overseas warehouse was also unveiled. At the unveiling ceremony, Tianmen Municipal Government, Tianmen Garment E-commerce Association and ASEAN SME Economic and Trade Development Committee signed an agreement and memorandum on overseas warehouse cooperation. The three parties will jointly establish a Sino Thai joint venture to jointly build ASEAN overseas warehouses and promote the export of Tianmen garments to the ten ASEAN countries.

Textile and clothing is the pillar industry of Tianmen. The number of registered shops on the clothing e-commerce enterprise platform in the city exceeds 12000, and the annual clothing e-commerce turnover exceeds 40 billion yuan. This year, Tianmen has accelerated the construction of the "Tianmen Yishang" supply chain information management platform, laid out ASEAN overseas warehouses, and built an overseas marketing center.

According to the cooperation agreement, the Sino Thai joint venture will open stores on various e-commerce platforms in Thailand, and strive to achieve normal operation in January 2025. The first phase of the overseas warehouse construction will be no less than 6000 square meters, with clothing sales of 1.5 billion to 2.5 billion Baht within one year, and most of the ASEAN markets within five years, reaching the goal of annual sales of 30 billion to 50 billion Baht.

It is reported that on the basis of providing warehousing and distribution services, Tianmen encourages the Sino Thai joint venture to carry out customs clearance, taxation, return and replacement, after-sales maintenance, packaging and processing, explore the functions of tail cargo handling, overseas business services, and gradually expand the comprehensive service capacity of overseas warehouses. At the same time, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence and other technologies are introduced to achieve efficient management of overseas warehouses and real-time monitoring of materials, so that domestic enterprises, overseas warehouses and foreign buyers can realize real-time sharing, and improve the intelligent level of overseas warehouses.

After the ASEAN overseas warehouse is completed, a front warehouse and a domestic direct purchase center will be set up in Tianmen to avoid massive hoarding, reduce warehousing risks and reduce operating costs through direct cash purchase. After the entry threshold is lowered, there is no need for businesses to advance funds for operation, which can radiate all textile and clothing business entities in the city and boost more Tianmen clothing to go to sea.
