The Future Has "Light"! "Light Of Textile" Excellent College Students Sharing Salon Held Successfully
On October 26, the first "Bright Future" - "Light of Textile" excellent college students sharing salon was successfully held online. This activity brought together outstanding students from textile colleges and universities to experience the self-confidence and persistence of textile practitioners, and conducted in-depth discussions on the development prospects of the industry. The event was jointly organized by the Textile Light Science and Technology Education Foundation and the China Textile and Garment Education Society. It is an honor to invite five outstanding representatives who have won the title of "Textile Light" outstanding students. With their rich practical experience, they provided valuable insights on further education and career choices for textile students attending the salon. They expect to explore various possibilities for the future development of the textile industry through this way of communication.
Zhang Cuizhu, vice president and secretary-general of Textile Light Science and Technology Education Foundation, expressed his joy at the participation of young talents in the industry in the salon in his speech. The Textile Light Science and Technology Education Foundation was established on the basis of the "Qian Zhiguang Science and Technology Education Foundation" in 1996, which has gone through 28 years so far. As a public welfare platform of the industry, the Textile Light Foundation is committed to recognizing units and individuals who have made significant contributions to the progress of textile science and technology and the improvement of industrial innovation ability, and at the same time funding and encouraging outstanding teachers and students in the field of textile education to play their exemplary and leading role in the entire industry. The sharing guests in this salon are all members who have participated in the "Textile Light" summer camp, and they are eager to share their experience with others. Zhang Cuizhu expects to hold more such salons in the future, and plans to carry out intercollegiate exchange activities to promote in-depth exchanges among students.
Bai Jing, secretary-general of China Textile and Garment Education Society and deputy secretary-general of Textile Light Science and Technology Education Foundation, expressed her appreciation and respect for the young generation born after 2000. This generation is often referred to as the millennial generation or the Z era, and is famous for its open thinking and innovative spirit. Bai Jing is very happy to communicate with her classmates face to face in the salon activity. She stressed that the Foundation, as a public welfare organization, has always been committed to making positive contributions to the textile and clothing industry. She expressed her appreciation for the younger generation and believed that their thinking mode was open and innovative. The salon activity aims to share the experience of the seniors and sisters who have graduated, and promote the exchange and thought collision among the young people present. Bai Jing believes that through such activities, participants will get profound enlightenment and guidance at critical moments in life. I wish all young people can overcome difficulties and create brilliant achievements in the future.
In the guest sharing segment. The five students spoke respectively and shared their experience in learning and career selection.
Zou Jiachao, an outstanding student of "Textile Light" in 2022 and a student of Donghua University, said that firm determination is a sharp tool to realize dreams. He encouraged everyone to explore the unknown, not be afraid of making mistakes, and use reward mechanisms to stimulate their potential. Zou Jiachao believes that in college life, compared with the accumulation of professional knowledge, the shaping of personal values, the deepening of self-awareness and the improvement of work efficiency are more critical. He suggested that students should actively participate in social activities, broaden their interpersonal circle and practice their communication skills. In the face of anxiety at different stages, such as research guarantee, school selection, graduation design, and so on, although the specific content of anxiety is different, as college students, the anxiety they face is common. He encouraged everyone to think carefully before graduation and explore the future path. Whether it is to be admitted as a civil servant, continue to study or enter the workplace, it is an important choice on the road of life. He hopes that each student can find his own favorite and suitable field, and persevere to realize his personal value.
Tao Junzhu, an outstanding student of "Textile Light" in 2023 and a member of the University of Science and Technology of China, has the courage to cross the boundaries of disciplines and pursue his dream bravely. In the undergraduate stage, she focused on her own professional field, and with a deep interest in chemistry, Tao Junzhu chose an interdisciplinary path, and finally was able to enter the University of Science and Technology of China, in-depth study of the intersection of textile and chemistry, and committed to exploration and innovation. Tao Junzhu believes that the forefront of science lies in constantly breaking the barriers between disciplines and finding innovative solutions at the intersection of different fields. She shared her learning experience and experience from four aspects: the initial understanding of textile materials, the stimulation of scientific research interest, the integration and innovation of the chemical field, and the unlimited prospect for the future. The application prospect of emerging technologies brought by the combination of textile materials and modern science was also shown to everyone present. Tao Junzhu shared the preparation for the "four points to change majors", and suggested everyone to plan in advance, develop learning plans, supplement learning with online resources and establish a solid foundation.

The third exchange guest, Guo Shimao, an outstanding student of "Textile Light" in 2021 and Anta Group, shared his personal experience with us. He completed his studies in textile engineering at Wuhan Textile University in 2022 and graduated from fashion marketing at Manchester University in December 2023. In January this year, he officially joined the scientific research and innovation department of Anta Group. At present, he is mainly responsible for Kelong brand innovation BP, the research and development project PMO of academician workstation, and the planning and dissemination of the Group's innovation culture. Guo Shimao said that the original intention of studying in the UK was to experience different lifestyles, and that the academic environment of Manchester University was somewhat challenging. He believes that his experience of studying abroad has brought him three important gains: first, he has enhanced his ability to be independent; Secondly, broaden the horizon; Third, a clear life plan has been formed. Guo Shimao also shared his job search experience and suggested that students should actively pay attention to the information of social platforms such as WeChat and Xiaohongshu, so as to remain active in the job search process.
The current job market is facing many challenges, and many graduates have joined the entrepreneurial wave. However, only those who have experienced the hardships of entrepreneurship can deeply understand them. Zhang Yifan, an outstanding student of "Textile Light" in 2021 and the founder of Hangzhou Chixian Art Design Co., Ltd., is one of many entrepreneurs. He shared: "My entrepreneurial journey starts with a silk scarf." Zhang Yifan stressed that college students should regard homework as a work, because homework is a convenient way to obtain company project cases. At the same time, students are the most accessible potential team members at the beginning of entrepreneurship. Participating in student organization activities is an effective way to contact classmates and select partners. He pointed out that his customer base originates from personal social circle, so it is vital to maintain a good personal image and ensure that potential customers can know and understand themselves. At the same time, Zhang Yifan reminds students who want to start their own businesses that they should not let capital problems become obstacles to self limiting, but should always have the ability to self guarantee.
Life is like a journey full of unknown. We can't predict what kind of scenery we will meet at the next stop. Whether you choose to study abroad or devote yourself to entrepreneurship, these are just one of the many nodes on the road of life. In this long journey of life, whether the road ahead is flat or rough, it is always important to maintain a positive and optimistic attitude towards life. Ding Bo, an outstanding student of "Textile Light" in 2020 and an admirer group, mentioned in the sharing that since she chose the major of fashion design as a freshman in college, she has experienced various psychological changes from confusion to firmness, and then to enthusiasm. These psychological changes, as well as the experience she has experienced and accumulated, have become a very valuable asset in her life. She had the honor to participate in the second phase of Textile Light Summer Camp and had a very happy time. The experience of summer camp almost occupied her whole circle of friends. She felt very honored to participate in the salon and be a guest of exchange, and also met many like-minded partners. Ding Bo finally quoted a favorite aphorism that she gave to the students, "work hard in the Tao, and keep the same wind for thousands of miles". I hope you can shine in the fields you like and love, and meet at the top.
At the end of the salon, Zhang Cuizhu said that she was excited after listening to the wonderful speeches made by five students. If she can get the guidance of such outstanding seniors during her schooling, she believes that her college career will be more fruitful. Zhang Cuizhu encourages everyone present, no matter how fierce the competition in the job market is, to make unremitting efforts to improve themselves, strengthen their strength, love textiles and devote themselves to textiles.
