On November 7, the 8th enlarged meeting of the 7th Standing Council of China Chemical Fiber Industry Association was held in Hongze District, Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province. Relevant leading guests, entrepreneurs, expert representatives and media representatives from the Association's vice presidents, executive directors and governing units attended the meeting. Supervisors of the Board of Supervisors attended the meeting as nonvoting delegates. The meeting was presided over by Chen Xinwei, President of China Chemical Fiber Industry Association.
The meeting reviewed and approved the change of the standard name of "China Chemical Fiber Industry Association PTA Branch" to "China Chemical Fiber Industry Association PTA Branch", and the cancellation of "China Chemical Fiber Industry Association · Lvyu Fund Management Committee".

As the basic pillar industry and livelihood industry of the national economy, China's textile industry has the most complete modern fiber processing industry chain in the world. From chemical fibers to end products, the comprehensive R&D and manufacturing level of the entire industry chain has reached the international advanced level, meeting China's multi-level, multi field and diversified consumption needs. How has China's textile and chemical fiber industry run since this year? What trends need attention in the future?
As for the operation of the textile industry, Zhao Mingxia, Director of the Trade Office of the China Textile Industry Federation and Vice President of the Industrial Economics Research Institute, said that since 2024, the development situation faced by China's textile industry is still complex and severe on the whole, but the development resilience accumulated by the industry's transformation and upgrading over the years is fully demonstrated, and all major operating indicators have achieved positive growth, The growth rate of total profit is in the middle and upper reaches of the national industry, and the growth rate of operating income and total export is in the middle reaches, making positive contributions to the "stable growth" of the national economy.
As for the operation of the chemical fiber industry, Wu Wenjing, Deputy Secretary General of the China Chemical Fiber Industry Association, said that since 2024, the operation of China's chemical fiber industry has shown a recovery growth, with the output growing relatively fast on the basis of a low base, the growth rate has gradually dropped month on month, and the actual new capacity has slowed down; The starting load of the industry is generally at a high level, and exports have declined; Cost support weakened in the third quarter, but the industry's economic efficiency improved year on year, and the operation quality improved.
Looking forward to the future, in the process of Chinese modernization, the textile chemical fiber industry should adhere to the road of science and technology, fashion, and green, and accelerate the construction of a modern textile industry system. From the micro level of enterprises, we should combine the consumption upgrading trend of the domestic demand market, strengthen innovative development, increase the development and application expansion of personalized, green and functional products, and activate new consumption hotspots; More importantly, it is necessary to strengthen industry self-discipline, prevent "internal" vicious competition, and actively promote the stable operation and healthy development of the industry. In the face of complex international situations, it is necessary to always improve the core competitiveness of the domestic industry and international voice, continue to promote high-quality development, cultivate and develop new quality productivity, and improve total factor productivity; At the same time, we should build a stable, safe and efficient international resource allocation system as the goal, and orderly carry out the international layout.
Finally, Duan Xiaoping, Vice President of China Textile Industry Federation, shared his views and thoughts on the development of the industry in four sentences. First, the current enterprise needs to be more careful, serious and focused. The second is to see four trends, including the fourth industrial revolution brought about by artificial intelligence, the accelerated formation of the business model of central enterprises+peripheral enterprises, the 3060 green development as a new fashion and trend, and the importance of materials for building local brands and technology brands. Third, enterprises should be based on the local, global perspective, and become qualified suppliers of the textile and clothing industry's international layout supply chain. Fourth, take responsibility for mutual trust and self-discipline in the industry. At the same time, take competitive strategies flexibly according to the actual situation of the industry, find a development path suitable for yourself, and promote high-quality development of the industry.
