The First Performance Of The Original Drama Huang Baomei On The Campus Of Donghua University Pays Tribute To The Model Worker Spirit

On November 8, Donghua University's drama "Huang Baomei", based on Huang Baomei, the winner of the "July 1st Medal", the eighth representative of the Party, the national model worker, and the outstanding alumnus of 1960, premiered in the school's Yan'an Road campus. The alumnus of Baomei, who once acted in the film Huangbaomei, returned to his alma mater accompanied by relatives and changed roles again before the stage, becoming a new fan of this new campus drama. Relevant leaders of Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions, Yangpu District Federation of Trade Unions, Donghua University and representatives of model workers in Shanghai watched the performance on the spot. The official video number, dithering number and official microblog of Donghua University carried out live webcast simultaneously, and more than 15000 people watched the play online.

The play takes Huang Baomei's life course as the main line, and tells the story of her struggle to enter a textile factory in a difficult environment when she was young, grow from an ordinary textile worker to a model in the industry and drive the development of the entire textile industry. Before liberation, Huang Baomei was severely treated by the foreman in a Japanese owned yarn factory and still bravely helped the workers to keep their jobs; After the founding of New China, Huang Baomei invented the working method of "single line tour and double side care" through continuous thinking and trial, which improved production efficiency and product quality and made great contributions to the country; Later, Huang Baomei studied at East China Textile Engineering College (now Donghua University) and continued to contribute to the textile industry after graduation. When she was young, Huang Baomei worked hard to learn cultural knowledge, actively participated in literacy classes for workers, and also promoted the common progress of fellow workers. She joined the Communist Party of China with honor and was elected as a model worker of the Ministry of Textile Industry across the country; In her later years, Huang Baomei was still concerned about the textile industry. As a member of the "Populus Poplar Propaganda", she combined her own experience to tell the public about history, the innovative theory of the Party, the gratifying changes that have taken place in Shanghai in the new era, and encouraged young people to create brilliance for the times. All the participating students are from the 2023 film and television drama performance major of the Institute of Fashion and Art Design.
