When entering the silkworm rearing workshop in the Silk Culture Park, you can see the golden color everywhere, and the cocoon webs are full of yellow cocoons. The workers sat together attentively, their hands flying up and down, picking up these mature "little golden eggs" carefully.

Wang Qing, the head of the sericulture professional cooperative in Shendu Town Shanshui Gallery Silk Culture Park, said that the traditional white cocoons can only be raised in four seasons, while the "golden cocoons" raised by the cooperative have received the sixth season this year, and the output is higher than that of ordinary white cocoons.

Under the sun, the golden "golden cocoon" is as bright as gold. Compared with ordinary white silkworm eggs, the rearing method of "golden cocoon" is not very different, and it can grow normally when fed with ordinary mulberry leaves. Miraculously, they can bear natural golden cocoons. Colored silk products can be produced without chemical treatment in the reeling process, and are widely used in the fields of silk quilts, silks and satins.

In the production workshop of "Golden Cocoon" silk products, the sound of machines kept roaring, and the processes of reeling, silk making, wire drawing, quilting and so on were carried out in a tight and orderly manner. The workers were preoccupied. Here, after careful processing, golden silk gradually turns into smooth and delicate colored silk fabrics, or comfortable and soft "golden" silk quilts.

Since 2024, the orders of gold environment-friendly silk products produced by Shendu Town Landscape Gallery Silk Culture Park have increased significantly. Li Aiying, director of the silk weaving workshop of the Silk Culture Park, said: "The quilt made of 'golden cocoon' has higher bulkiness, better resilience, and better warmth retention than ordinary white silk. The market price of the Zhang satin woven with it is far higher than that of the Zhang satin woven with white silk."
