2024 Cotton Textile Sub Standard Committee Annual Meeting And Standard Review Meeting Held

From November 28 to 29, the 2024 cotton textile sub standard committee annual meeting and industry standard and group standard review meeting were held in Kunming, Yunnan. Ye Jianchun, the director of the cotton textile sub technical committee, the former vice chairman of the China Cotton Textile Industry Association, Li Hongjie, the director of the Standardization Office of Shanghai Textile Industry Technical Supervision Institute, Zhang Baoqing, the secretary general of the cotton textile sub technical committee, and other leaders attended the meeting, as well as nearly 70 cotton textile sub standard committee members from all over the country, including representatives of textile enterprises and testing institutions, quality and technology experts Standardization experts were invited to attend this annual meeting. The meeting was presided over by Secretary General Zhang Baoqing.

Ye Jianchun, the former vice president of China Cotton Textile Industry Association, gave a brief introduction to the operation of the cotton textile industry, thanked the experts for their support to the work of the cotton textile sub standard committee, and encouraged everyone to continue to provide more wisdom and strength for the industry standardization work. Li Hongjie, Director of the Standardization Office of Shanghai Institute of Textile Industry Technology Supervision, welcomed all the experts present at the meeting, and hoped that the Standardization Committee would continuously improve the conversion rate of new products and new technical standards, and establish a standard system that coordinated national standards, industry standards, and group standards with a reasonable structure to meet the needs of the cotton textile industry.

In the standard review link, the experts present reviewed 4 industry standards and 7 group standards respectively. The industry standards are: Cotton and Lyocell Fiber Blended Natural Color Yarn, Cotton and Acrylic Fiber Blended Natural Color Yarn, Determination of Blending Uniformity of Natural Color Blended Core spun Yarn, and Polyester Natural Color Cloth. The group standards are: jet vortex spinning acrylic Lyocell fiber blended natural yarn, jet vortex spinning acrylic viscose fiber blended natural yarn, jet vortex spinning hemp pulp viscose fiber natural yarn, kapok fiber, kapok cotton blended natural yarn, cotton natural color cloth without polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), and handmade homespun fabric.

After the meeting, each standard drafting unit will further modify and improve the standard according to expert opinions, form a standard draft for approval and submit it to the Standardization Committee for approval.
