Press Conference Of 2024 Myanmar International Textile And Machinery Exhibition And Zhejiang International Trade (Myanmar) Exhibition Was Held

On November 22, 2024, the press conference of the 2024 Myanmar International Textile and Machinery Exhibition and Zhejiang International Trade (Myanmar) Exhibition was held at the Myanmar Chinese Enterprise Chamber of Commerce. Xu Zhenwei, secretary-general of the Myanmar China Enterprise Chamber of Commerce (CECCM), Shi Kun, president of the Textile and Garment Association (CTGA), Daw Khine Khine Nwe, secretary-general of the Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association (MGMA), representatives of the Korea and Hong Kong Garment Association of China, and many media reporters attended the event.

Xu Zhenwei, secretary-general of Myanmar China Enterprise Chamber of Commerce (CECCM), delivered a speech, saying that since the exhibition was held for the first time in 2017, it has become an important platform to promote cooperation in the textile and clothing industry between China and Myanmar, and has played a positive role in strengthening economic and trade exchanges between China and Myanmar and promoting economic development in Myanmar. This year's exhibition will focus on market demand and create more cooperation opportunities for China Myanmar textile and clothing enterprises.

Daw Khine Khine Nwe, Secretary General of Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association (MGMA), said that during 2024-2025, more international textile brands will enter Myanmar, and new orders will continue to grow. Through the exhibition platform, Myanmar products can be more effectively promoted, and international partners are called on to continue to help the development of Myanmar's textile industry and jointly promote industrial upgrading.

Shi Kun, President of the Textile and Garment Branch of the Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce (CTGA), introduced the highlights of this exhibition. He said that the exhibition last year helped some Chinese brands place orders in Myanmar, and expected to attract more international buyers to support Myanmar's clothing industry this year. It is hoped that the exhibition will create a more stable and decent life for Myanmar workers and promote the sustainable development of the industry.

Mr., PR Director of Myanmar Korea Garment Association (KOGAM) Justin Jeon、 Mr., Vice President of Hong Kong Myanmar Industry and Commerce Association (HKMMA) Frankie Lau， The investment and cooperation achievements of South Korean and Chinese Hong Kong enterprises in Myanmar's textile and clothing industry were introduced respectively. They said that this exhibition will provide new opportunities for deepening cooperation and promote the international development of Myanmar's textile and clothing industry.

This exhibition will be held in Yangon International Convention and Exhibition Center (YCC) from December 6 to 8, 2024. The exhibition covers textile and clothing, machinery equipment, bags, shoes and hats, and other fields. It is co sponsored by the China Textile Import and Export Chamber of Commerce and Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, and co organized by the Textile and Clothing Branch of the Myanmar China Enterprise Chamber of Commerce (CTGA) and the Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association (MGMA).
