Longgan Lake Textile Workers Weave New Splendor Of Textile Industry

On December 12, the 2024 "Longganhu · Fengbo Cup" National Textile Industry Weavers and Warpers Vocational Skills Competition Practice Final was held in the second phase of Fengbo Textile Workshop in Longganhu Industrial Park. This is the first time that Longgan Lake has held a national textile industry skills competition, with 100 textile workers from Jiangsu, Shandong, Anhui and other countries participating in the competition.

"The practical operation is divided into two links: tying knots under the machine and connecting knots on the machine. Today's practical operation is very smooth. Practice makes perfect." Zhang Panpan, the 16th in the National Weaver Skills Competition and the mechanic of Fengbo Textile Workshop B, introduced that, "The proficiency, stability and technical level of skilled workers have an important impact on the output and quality of textile products. By participating in the National Silk Weaving Skills Competition, the enthusiasm of colleagues to learn technology, practice skills, increase talents and temper the spirit of craftsmen has been stimulated."

The filament weaving industry has developed rapidly in the past 20 years and has become one of the fastest growing pillar industries in China's textile industry. It is a key production link from chemical fiber to fabric, clothing and household textiles. In this skill finals, new knowledge, new technology, new equipment and new skills of chemical filament weaving were appropriately added. According to statistics, 35 technicians from 13 local enterprises in Longgan Lake Management Area participated in this year's national professional skills competition for weavers and warpers, and 13 of them won prizes.

Hubei Fengbo Textile Co., Ltd., which was named "Longgan Lake · Fengbo Cup" by this skill contest, mainly produces multi-functional professional fabrics such as high-density, super fine denier, elastic down jackets, sportswear and casual men's wear. It has become a partner of several European and American brands, a member of the China Filament Weaving Association, a national high-tech enterprise, and a "little giant" specialized in fine and new products in Hubei Province Enterprise. The company's high elastic spring Asian textile processing and printing method is the first in China, filling the gap in the industry.

Tao Jianhua, chairman of Fengbo Textile, said that the weavers and warpers in this competition are important types of work in the textile industry. The company is increasing the cultivation of industrial technicians, innovation and application of new technologies. By the end of October this year, the company has produced 15 million meters of high-grade chemical fiber fabrics and 60 million meters of chemical fiber grey fabrics, with an output value of 189 million yuan, which will realize the industrial doubling plan this year compared with 102 million yuan in 2023.

The textile industry cluster of Longgan Lake has been continuously recognized by the provincial government as the "key growth industry cluster of Hubei Province", and is the modern textile industry chain leader unit specified by the Huanggang Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government. In recent years, under the skillful weaving of 13000 textile industry technicians, the district has entered the Chinese textile industry matrix, and the industrial cluster has begun to take shape, and the "Central Shengze" has accelerated its rise.

From January to October this year, the gross output value, added value, fixed asset investment and technological transformation investment of the textile industry above the designated size of the district increased by 28.6%, 12.6%, 62.02% and 65.8% respectively. The industrial power consumption exceeded 320 million kilowatt hours, an increase of 18.6% year on year, and the net output value above the designated size exceeded 1 billion yuan. The district plans to build a textile industry cluster with more than 100 textile enterprises, million spinning spindles, 40000 looms and an output value of more than 10 billion yuan within two to three years.
