During the 2024 World Garment Conference, the "Fourth Innovation Conference of Textile and Clothing Standards and the Annual Conference of Standardization Committee of China Textile Engineering Society" jointly sponsored by China Textile Engineering Society and Dongguan Humen Garment Industry Association was successfully held in Humen, Dongguan. The theme of the conference is "promoting the standardization interaction of scientific innovation and improving the level of internationalization of standards", which aims to give full play to the advantages of standards system, promote the institutional opening of standards with the internationalization of group standards, help high-tech innovation, promote high-level opening, and lead the change of high-quality development of the industry.

"Group standards are the biggest highlight of China's standardization reform, the passport to promote domestic and international trade, the vane to lead the development of industry technology, the passport to promote domestic and international trade, the starting point to lead industrial development, and the carrier of industry consensus." According to Bai Jie, Deputy Secretary General of the Standardization Committee of the China Textile Engineering Society, The Society officially launched the group standard work in 2015, and has achieved remarkable results in the past 10 years. On the scene of the conference, a ceremony was held to issue the certificates of participating units in the "100 Group Standard Application Demonstration Project" of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the "Flame Retardant Sewing Thread" standard, the "Popular Science Education Base of the China Textile Engineering Society" (the seventh batch) and the "Reviewed and Passed" (the fourth batch) certificates, and the "Science Communication Experts of the China Textile Engineering Society" (the fifth and sixth batches) and the "Reviewed and Passed" (the fourth batch), The ceremony for awarding certificates of new works and outstanding contribution units/teams of popular science and creative short videos in the textile field.
The conference held four group standard review meetings of the China Textile Engineering Society, including the "Identification Method of Textile Original Solution Coloring and Post dyeing Coloring Aramid", and four group standard project approval review meetings of the China Textile Engineering Society, including the "Basic Color System of Natural Dyes and Technical Specifications for Energy saving and Water saving Fabric Dyeing" Three parallel sub conferences, including the symposium on the international development of standards in the silk field. At the same time, the 2024 working meeting of the Standardization Working Committee of the 26th Council of the China Textile Engineering Society was also held, and the participants were organized to visit the 27th China (Humen) International Garment Fair.
Fu Guangwei, president of the China Textile Engineering Society and director of the Standardization Committee of the China Textile Engineering Society, said that the standardization work of the China Textile Engineering Society will focus on deepening standardization exchanges and cooperation with foreign countries, enhance the international influence of the Association's brand standards conference, and promote the interactive development of standardization work and scientific and technological innovation in the textile field, To guide the rapid and healthy development of new products, new business forms and new models with standards, promote the integrated development of standards, testing and certification, and jointly draw a grand blueprint for the internationalization of standards in the textile and clothing industry.
