    Focusing on fine services, gradually improving the cotton meteorological service index system, making and releasing agricultural weather forecast, disaster risk early warning and monitoring forecast, key agricultural meteorological services, pest and disease meteorological services and other products, and taking the lead in preparing 4 local standards related to cotton meteorological services; Research and develop the technology of Xinjiang cotton meteorological disaster risk zoning, and realize the risk assessment and zoning product production of 7 meteorological disasters of cotton at district, prefecture and county levels; Explore the technology of weather index insurance for strong wind and low temperature disasters in cotton, carry out research on meteorological disaster index in key growth periods of cotton, and explore the service model of "cotton meteorology+finance"; Make meteorological science videos of the whole process of cotton growth.

    In 2024, the cotton meteorological service center will carry out the benefit evaluation test of three meteorological services for the first time, namely, the forecast of suitable topping period for cotton, the forecast of suitable spraying period for defoliants, and the risk warning of high temperature and heat damage in flowering and boll stage, and initially establish the benefit evaluation model. The cotton meteorological digital integrated platform realizes the interconnection between countries and provinces and the sharing of member units. The first phase of the digital cotton meteorological service system based on the Xinjiang agricultural meteorological integration platform will be completed in 2024, realizing the production and release business application of district, prefecture and county level products. The cotton meteorological service center also released 18 on-demand service products through the full media matrix, and the degree of product refinement was upgraded from the site level to the grid level.

    In the future, the cotton meteorological service center will continue to promote the construction of the station network system, further promote the development of automatic observation core technology and algorithms, establish a cotton meteorological science and technology innovation base, realize intelligent cotton meteorological services based on location and scene, form a market service model that can be promoted and demonstrated, carry out service benefit evaluation, and build a national cotton meteorological service brand, To provide a solid meteorological guarantee for the high yield and income of cotton nationwide.
