In the past year, Zhejiang Modern Textile Technology Innovation Center, located in Keqiao, Shaoxing, has gained a lot.

In terms of achievements, the Innovation Center has participated in five first prizes and four second prizes in the Science and Technology Award of the China Textile Industry Federation, the highest honor in the field of textile science and technology in China, accounting for 33.3% of Zhejiang Province and 15.3% of the country. At the same time, it has won four annual provincial science and technology awards; In terms of enabling enterprises, their latest research and development of the third generation reactive microfiber leather has successfully helped enterprises to obtain orders worth more than 100 million yuan, injecting strong impetus into the high-quality development of regional enterprises.

"Promote the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation." The head of the Innovation Center said that the traditional academic scientific and technological innovation is usually a single point breakthrough, and is good at forging long boards; What industrial innovation needs is often product development oriented. This requires finding a balance between the two, and the innovation center came into being. In 2022, the innovation center will become one of the first six provincial technology innovation centers to be built, led by Keqiao District Government and Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, focusing on solving major scientific and technological problems in the field of advanced fiber materials and green textile dyeing and finishing.

In the exhibition hall of the Innovation Center, the reporter saw numerous possibilities of a silk thread: medical artificial blood vessels, deep-sea special cables, aviation grade glass fiber cotton felt... With the help of scientific and technological innovation, today's textiles have been transferred from civilian to industrial use, which can "enter the sky into the sea and enter the human body", and achieve industrial applications in aviation, national defense, marine industry, medical and health care and other fields. At present, the Innovation Center has cooperated with more than 150 enterprises to help them promote digital transformation, new technology promotion and application.

In 2024, Hangzhou Bay modern textile and clothing cluster was successfully selected as a national advanced manufacturing cluster, and Zhejiang's industrial textiles accounted for more than one third of the province's fiber material consumption... The exploration, transformation and upgrading of these industries further stimulated the confidence of innovation centers and cooperative enterprises, and constantly promoted the high-quality development of Zhejiang's modern textile industry and the cultivation of new quality productivity.
