China Cotton Industry Association: Seminar On The Guidance For The Development Of The Cotton Textile Industry During The "Tenth Five Year Plan" Was Held In Anqing

The "Tenth Five Year Plan" period is a critical period for China's economy to move towards high-quality development, a critical period for China to basically realize modernization by 2035, and an important period for profound adjustment of the global political and economic pattern. In order to guide the cotton textile industry empowered by new quality productivity to accelerate its transformation and upgrading, speed up the transition from old to new kinetic energy, focus on promoting high-quality development of the industry, and accelerate the construction of a modern cotton textile industry system, on April 11, 2025, the China Cotton Textile Industry Association organized and held a seminar on the Guiding Opinions on the Development of the Cotton Textile Industry during the "Tenth Five Year Plan" in Anqing, Anhui Province.

A total of more than 50 cotton textile industry experts, university scholars and enterprise representatives attended the meeting to deeply discuss the future development direction and goals of the cotton textile industry and provide reference for the formulation of scientific and reasonable development guidance for the "15th Five Year Plan". The meeting was hosted by Jing Shenquan, Vice President of China Cotton Textile Industry Association.

Dong Kuiyong, president of China Cotton Textile Industry Association, pointed out that the cotton textile industry is in a period of "historical convergence" with rich connotations, including the convergence of time, space, cultural ideas and technological changes. The guiding ideology, objectives and tasks, and development direction of the "Tenth Five Year Plan" for the Development of the Cotton Textile Industry should follow the national "Tenth Five Year Plan" and the "Tenth Five Year Plan" for the textile industry.

At the meeting, guests discussed topics such as "economic operation", "industrial structure", "capacity layout", "scientific and technological innovation", "green and sustainable development", "talent training", and "standard work". The meeting was a complete success, which provided an important reference for the preparation of the Guidelines for the Development of the Cotton Textile Industry during the "Tenth Five Year Plan".
