In order to carry out the AQSIQ's "notice on in-depth implementation of some special product quality special rectification actions" and the spirit of the inspection supervision and special rectification conference of the whole province, the Lianyungang Bureau promptly convened regular business meetings to deploy the provincial import and export key products quality special rectification action plan, and strengthen the inspection and supervision of import and export clothing and toys, and the first battle was successful.

A broken pin was detected in a number of export garments, which avoided a malignant quality accident and achieved obvious results.

In March 2008, the Lianyungang Bureau inspected a pair of women's shorts (710 articles) and women's shorts (560 articles) ready for export to Japan by a garment production enterprise in Lianyungang. The inspectors were required to extract representative samples and open the boxes according to the requirements. As the enterprise was first producing Japanese products, and the needle checking equipment was missing, a flat type needle detector was temporarily borrowed, and the equipment was old and unidentified.

In order to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the inspection results, the Lianyungang Bureau inspectors contacted the nearby toy enterprises in time, and checked the toys using the needle checking equipment of the toy enterprises. During the detection process, all the samples were not able to pass the needle checking machine, and the inspectors immediately judged that the goods were not qualified, and they were not allowed to export.

It is worth noting that during the incident, the inspectors found that the enterprise did not strictly accept the inspection when the raw materials were put into production, and the management of the broken pin was chaotic, and the necessary testing equipment was lacking.

The inspectors asked the enterprises to rework all the products, and the problems existing in the enterprises were required to be rectified within a specified time.

Through investigation and handling of the case, the Lianyungang Bureau believes that some small businesses have relatively weak quality consciousness, and some key control points related to safety have not been effectively controlled, and the quality management of enterprises is relatively weak.

In view of the above situation, the Lianyungang Bureau will conduct a comprehensive inventory of garment export enterprises in conjunction with this special rectification. Enterprises that fail to guarantee the quality of products meet the requirements, and require enterprises to make rectification within a time limit.
