Provincial Government Held 2008 Qinghai Tibetan Carpet International Exhibition Summary Commendation Meeting

In June 17th, the provincial government held the 2008 Qinghai Tibetan carpet International Exhibition.

The conference commended the relevant departments, units and individuals participating in the exhibition.

At the same time, the provincial people's government and the people's Government of the Tibet autonomous region have jointly written to the State Council. It is suggested that the "Qinghai Tibetan carpet International Exhibition" be renamed "the Qinghai International Exhibition on Tibetan carpet", and further expand the scale of the exhibition and create an international exhibition.

2008 at the international exhibition of Tibetan carpet in Qinghai, nearly two thousand exhibitors from home and abroad and purchasers came to the exhibition. The total turnover of the exhibition reached US $48 million 200 thousand, of which 3 million 920 thousand US dollars were spot traded.

The total number of exhibitors in the province accounts for about 40% of the total turnover.

At the conclusion of the commendation meeting, the Chinese food and animal products import and Export Chamber of Commerce, China Textile Association, Tibet autonomous region business hall, Xining customs, Qinghai entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Qinghai business department, Qinghai Tibetan sheep carpet (Group) Company were awarded the organizational award. Qinghai provincial Propaganda Department, Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, Qinghai daily news, Qinghai TV station, Qinghai radio station and "West Sea Metropolis Daily" were given publicity awards, and 13 individuals were also awarded prizes.
