Zhejiang Garment Industry Conference Held

In July 15th, the Zhejiang garment industry association held the four four session of the garment industry association of Zhejiang province and the Zhejiang garment industry working conference in Keqiao, Zhejiang on the theme of "strengthening independent innovation and accelerating the upgrading of the garment industry".

In July 16th, garment enterprises visited Shaoxing's new fabric market in Keqiao.

The conference pointed out that garment industry brand in 2007 is on the rise in terms of production, industry efficiency and design innovation capability.

According to the statistics of Zhejiang garment industry association and Zhejiang Statistical Bureau, the garment production enterprises above Designated Size completed 4 billion 89 million garment production in that year.

In 2007, the proportion of clothing output in Zhejiang accounted for 20.28% of the total clothing output of the country, ranking second in all provinces and cities in the country.

However, the development capacity, operational capability, input-output efficiency and turnover rate of the garment industry in the whole province have declined to varying degrees compared with the previous year, and the extent of loss is expanding.

It is gratifying to note that the improvement of production efficiency, the economic benefits of labor input, the development and utilization of new products, and the ability of technological innovation are constantly improving.

According to statistics, the expenditure on scientific and technological activities in Zhejiang garment industry last year, the cost of purchasing technological achievements and the purchase of advanced equipment increased by 85.79%, 59.51% and 25.56% respectively over the previous year.

At present, in addition to the industrial and regional technological innovation service platform funded by the government, many enterprises in the industry have begun to build technological centers for enterprises. Clothing equipment has been further intellectualized, and the integration of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and gas industries has begun to pform traditional industries step by step with advanced and applicable technologies.

Under the guidance of the spirit of "information driven industrialization", the garment industry of Zhejiang province has greatly improved in terms of technological innovation and enterprise information construction.

For the garment industry in 2008, it is facing both severe challenges and new opportunities for development.

Zhejiang garment industry has made great progress after more than 30 years of rapid development, and has established its strong position in the national garment industry.
