Tax Reduction For Textile And Garment Enterprises

Faced with the co-existence of business difficulties and substantial increase in fiscal revenue, many members of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress suggested that we should consider the policy of reducing taxes and letting profits at the right time, and increase support for small and medium-sized enterprises and individual businesses.

Yesterday, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress examined the reports of the State Council and the Audit Commission in Beijing.

Liu Zhenwei, a member of the committee, said: "the recent investigation in the southern coastal areas shows that small and medium-sized enterprises have more difficulties."

He therefore suggested that some fine-tuning measures should be taken to help enterprises solve their difficulties.

Zheng Gongcheng, member of the committee, said that the growth rate of the finance can be moderation slowly, and timely introduction of some tax relief policies will be a necessary measure for the healthy development of the national economy and social progress.

He suggested that first, the threshold of personal income tax should be further improved as soon as possible.

The starting point is still low, and a large number of middle and low income people are the main source of personal income tax.

Second, we should consider reducing the tax burden of small and medium-sized enterprises and individual businesses, especially the tax burden of labor-intensive small businesses.

In addition, the tax relief for social charitable donations should also be increased.

"Like this year's Wenchuan earthquake, all sectors of society donated about 50000000000 yuan. I think more political enthusiasm and compatriots (at work), if there is a corresponding interest guidance mechanism, it may be more than 50 billion yuan."

Li Qianyuan, member of the committee, suggested improving the living environment of small and medium-sized enterprises. "SMEs are the important foundation of our national economy and the key to the breakout of the economy."

No matter which sector, when formulating policies, we should first consider the affordability of SMEs. "

In addition to the above suggestions, Huang Zhiquan, member of the committee, also suggested that new loans should be invested more in earthquake relief, agriculture, small and medium enterprises, and the exploitation and production of scarce resource products in the country.

Wang Yingwei, deputy to the National People's Congress, who was invited to attend the meeting, suggested that the government should vigorously help enterprises develop the huge market in the Middle East, as the consumption market in the United States shrinks and the economy in Europe and Japan continues to slump.

Li Zupei, member of the Commission, said that in order to maintain steady and rapid economic development and expand domestic demand, it is particularly important to reduce the external demand and increase the number of uncertainties. It is suggested that the relevant government departments should take more effective measures to expand domestic demand.

He Yicheng, chairman of the Chinese manufacturers' Association and member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, said that the biggest problem for foreign trade enterprises is the substantial appreciation of the renminbi in Macao.

He urged that the RMB exchange rate should be revalued too quickly because "according to the statistics of our chamber of Commerce, the 7 Hong Kong and Macao export enterprises in the Pearl River Delta region will close down and stop production by 1/3 at the end of this year due to the substantial appreciation of the renminbi.

These enterprises implicate 3 million to 5 million jobs.
