    Australian Textile And Apparel Show

    1. General situation of the exhibition:

    Exhibition time: November 24, 2008 - 26 days

Venue: Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Australia (MECC)

Exhibits: clothing, clothing, fabrics, household textiles, clothing accessories, bags, shoes, stationery, gifts, jewelry, etc.

In previous exhibitions, home textiles, decorative fabrics, pure wool fabrics, shoes and hats, casual wear, evening dress and towel products were more popular.

    Two, exhibition brief:

In 2001, the first "China Textile and clothing exhibition" was launched in Australia. It has held five sessions in four years. It has become one of the most influential exhibitions in the Australian textile and garment industry to help enterprises develop the market of non quota areas.

In particular, the Australian Melbourne international textile clothing and Footwear Fair (TCF exhibition) has been declared closed since 2006, making the "China Textile and fashion show" the only influential textile and clothing exhibition in Australia.

Australia is an economic leader in Oceania and the South Pacific region. Its population is 20 million. Its annual GDP per capita is about US $27 thousand, and its economic growth is good. It has maintained a continuous economic growth for 14 years. The Australian dollar's exchange rate with the US dollar has continued to rise, stimulating Australia's imports.

As a leader, Australia has an obvious radiation effect on the region; Australia and New Zealand have recognized China's market economy status, which will greatly facilitate bilateral trade; Australia is a net importer of textile and apparel, and 70% of its textile and clothing consumption depends on imports; Australia and New Zealand have no quota restrictions on Chinese textile and apparel production; the textile and apparel produced in China are also well known in Australia, and are equal to the "made in Japan" of electrical appliances.

Australia's textile, clothing, footwear and leather market has an annual average consumption of about 15 billion Australian dollars, and imports of textiles and clothing 5 billion 800 million Australian dollars in 2005, an increase of 14% over the same period last year.

In 2005, China exported $2 billion 185 million to textiles and clothing in Australia, an increase of 15.4% over the same period last year, the fastest growth in the original non quota area.

There are more than 450 exhibitors and more than 1500 exhibitors in Australia's China Textile and apparel show. More than 10000 professional visitors have arrived. The total number of visitors to the exhibition is over 70000, and the turnover is more than one hundred million dollars. The exhibition has won high praise from the two governments of China and Australia.

The exhibition has successfully built a long-term display platform for non quota market under the severe situation of quota control in Europe and the United States.

More than 80% of the exhibitors met the new customers with their business counterparts at the exhibition, while consolidating their relationship with the old customers. Nearly half of the exhibitors expanded their exports directly or indirectly by participating in the exhibition, which greatly enhanced the international image of our enterprises.

In view of the success of previous sessions and the advantages of these trade with Australia, the eighth Australian "China Textile and apparel Exhibition" will absorb previous experience, and continue to strengthen its invitation to professional businessmen and media in Australia, so that the exhibition will gradually become brand effect in Australia.

The exhibition is a rare opportunity for Chinese enterprises to enter the import, wholesale and retail markets of Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific region.
