Red Band Tailor Lake Set Up Hong Bang Western Clothing Store
Jiang Jiming, the sixth generation descendant of the red band tailor in China, has always had a wish. That is, the Ningbo Hong Ming clothing Research Institute, located in Zhejiang Textile and Fashion College, should not only engage in teaching and research, but also go to the society, engage in practical production, learn to integrate and serve the society. Yesterday, the red band Western clothing shop, headed by his apprentice and the seventh generation of the red band tailor Qi Baijun, was officially opened at the lake park. Jiang Jiming laughs, "now, I can finally safely shift my duty."
The "red gang tailor" plays an important role in the Chinese garment industry. Jiang Jiming, who is already 75 years old this year, is the only sixth generation of "red gang tailor" who passed the relevant department notarization in China.
It is understood that the red band Western clothing shop is the highest qualification master's shop opened in our city, and the person in charge is Qi Baijun, a teacher from Zhejiang Textile and Fashion College and an on-the-job graduate student in textile engineering major of Soochow University.
The average cost of making clothes in this shop is 8800~12000 yuan (including fabric charge). The biggest feature is that it is truly tailored to suit the needs of those who have special requirements.
Two treasures of the town store
In the red band Western clothing store, there are two treasures of the town store.
One is the "Zi Zi scale". According to Jiang Jiming, this steelyard was handed down by the first generation of "red gang tailors" in China. He has been kept intact. The scale is made of ivory and is 40.4 centimeters long. "Zi Zi scale" is the gold used by clothing stores to call income. At that time, customers usually used gold to pay wages.
Another one is "boarding chair". The chair, which looks very ordinary, can be turned into a three step ladder after it has turned over lightly. "My master Jiang Jiming started his apprenticeship at the clothing store in Shanghai at the age of 13. At that time, such chairs could help the apprentice. At ordinary times, they can sit and work, and when they want to pick up the fabric placed in the overhead cabinet, they can turn over and turn it into a ladder. Qi Baijun said that this "cabinet chair" has a history of more than 110 years.
