Saudi Arabia's current textile and apparel production is not large, and there is a big gap between the level of technology and product quality and imported products. According to the market survey conducted by Japanese and Korean trading institutions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the import volume of Saudi textiles has expanded year by year, especially in the production of traditional clothing for men and women, and the demand for medium and top grade products has increased, while the import of low-grade fabrics has declined. The annual imports of cotton, wool, silk, chemical fiber and natural fiber blended products amounted to US $about 63000000. In the past, Japanese products dominated the Saudi import market. In recent years, China, Korea, India, Pakistan, Indonesia and Taiwan regions of China also participated in the market competition. The analysis of Japan and South Korea's industry says that the products of China and India compete with the price advantage and the market share is expanding. Therefore, Japanese and Japanese enterprises are turning to the high-end products market. Saudi Arabia basically liberalized textile imports, the basic import tariff rate was 5%, or a tariff of $0.08 per meter, and the tax rate on some products was as high as 20%. Exporters in most countries sell products on the basis of designated agents in the locals. Made in China, Arabia men's wear and Arabia women's wear, silk fabrics, silk like fabrics and high-end blended fabric clothing are very popular in the local market.
