Clothing Industry Needs Three Combinations To Overcome Difficulties

A forum of responsible persons of some textile and garment enterprises in Shaanxi was held in Xi'an. More than 40 people from Xianyang, Baoji and Xi'an responsible for industrial administration and key cotton textile and garment enterprises and research institutes attended the meeting.

Since the beginning of this year, the textile and garment industry in Shaanxi has encountered unprecedented difficulties. The output value, sales revenue, foreign exchange earning and economic benefits of the enterprises have declined compared with the same period last year.

The participants agreed that the external environment could not be changed, and the enterprises only started from internal management, worked hard for internal strength, identified the market and sought development space; at the same time, they hoped that the provincial Party committee and the provincial government would pay attention to the difficulties encountered by the textile and garment industry, and timely introduce relevant policies to support the textile and garment enterprises.

Xing Xing and Duan Keming hope that the textile and garment industry will pay attention to three combinations in the current development: first, we should combine the difficulty relief and the reorganization of the whole industry, do a good job in the construction of the textile and garment industrial park in Xi'an and Xianyang, and meet the gradient pfer of the eastern industry to the West; two, we should combine the market development with the extension of the industrial chain, focus on developing the printing and dyeing and garment industry while doing cotton spinning, and constantly extend the textile and garment industry chain in Shaanxi; three, we should combine government support with the development of the enterprises themselves.

With the increasing cost of textile and clothing, the government should give support to policies to help textile and garment enterprises tide over difficulties.
