Gansu: Rural Women Can Apply For Discount Loans When They Start Their Own Businesses

Since April this year, Gansu has introduced and launched the "small loan for women getting rich" to help rural women start their own businesses and develop rich projects.

According to the comrades of the Gansu women's Federation, the "small loan for women getting rich" is a small loan project launched by the Gansu women's Federation and the Gansu Rural Credit Union, which serves the rural women. The preferential interest rate is implemented, and the women's Federation organizations coordinate the relevant departments to grant interest subsidies.

The following conditions should be applied to apply for the "small loan for women getting rich": living in the business area of the credit union; having full civil capacity and strong credit concept; having a certain source of economic income; and having the ability to repay the principal and interest of loans.

Those who meet the above requirements may apply to the rural credit cooperatives where they are located.

The loan uses mainly include planting, aquaculture, purchasing small agricultural machinery and equipment, and the cost of services such as prenatal, mid, and post natal services, and farm products, such as selling, processing, pporting and so on.

According to the purpose, the "small loan for women's enrichment" has been divided into different standards: providing loans within 20 thousand yuan for women who are engaged in simple and small-scale farming, raising and increasing industries, and the credit limit for large production and business households is less than 30 thousand yuan.

The term of the loan is not more than one year in principle, and it is allowed to be used over the years.
