The holding of GLS is in line with the current situation of the competitive international leather products market, namely: the boundaries between product categories are becoming increasingly blurred; and more and more footwear and clothing brands are also designing various accessories to form a complete product line.
According to the German leather goods Retailers Association (BLE), the total market of leather goods reached 1 billion 800 million euros in 2003, while the sales of professional retailers of leather goods accounted for only about 43% of the total, and this proportion is still declining.
According to the above development trend, the two exhibitions in Dusseldorf, Germany, have been arranged in the same period to showcase a full range of clothing products that meet market needs: footwear, leather products and accessories.
