Interviewer: how do you engage in women's shoes?
Is this consistent with your childhood dream?
HOWARD: when I was little, I never thought that I would take women's shoes as my profession, but now I think it's an ideal job.
I have always been interested in fashion industry, and I really want to know more about international business and how to build brand.
I have always been longing for China, so I am very happy when I have the opportunity to introduce the world-famous Naturalizer shoes into China.
Reporter: can you tell us about the history of the brand in the United States?
HOWARD: as a matter of fact, Naturalizer is already a world-famous brand today.
Naturalizer now has thousands of stores around the world.
Naturalizer was founded in 1927. It is also the first brand designed for women to be comfortable, fashionable and beautiful.
In the past 80 years, Naturalizer has always adhered to the brand's consistent and comfortable design concept. We also hope to bring this brand to more Chinese consumers.
As our brand objective says, Beautiful Feels So Good.
Reporter: please talk about the development plan of Naturalizer in China market.
HOWARD: China's market is very important for Naturalizer's future development. Naturalizer landed in China last August and opened its first store at the end of August.
8 months later, we celebrate the opening of thirty-sixth shops at Shanghai port Hui square, which is also the first flagship store in Naturalizer.
With the development of China's market, Naturalizer will also make progress with the development of the market.
Reporter: what did this spring and summer new product bring to you?
Where does the design come from?
HOWARD: this season, our designers brought in many new concepts in the design, using a large number of bright colors and special materials.
In this series, a large number of natural materials are widely used, such as linen, snake skin, wood and ecological leather. This kind of leather is very soft and uses non-toxic dyes in dyeing process, so the production process will not cause pollution.
Interviewer: what do you think is the difference between fashion designers and overseas consumers? How do you cater for these differences in the design process?
HOWARD: Chinese consumers are very fashionable. Even looking around in Shanghai, you can find the most fashionable trend in the world.
But consumers in every country have their own preferences.
As a Naturalizer brand with a long history, our global design center has been working hard to study consumer demand.
We will continue to strive to provide consumers with fashionable, beautiful and comfortable footwear.
Reporter: China's new media is very active at present, especially the network media, showing their unprecedented amazing influence.
How do you think about the new media in China? Have you ever considered cooperation with the Internet media?
HOWARD: in fact, when we were in the US, we were very familiar with people's dependence on the Internet, and many products realized pactions through the Internet.
Of course, I find that Chinese netizens are much more dependent and dependent on the Internet than those in western countries. So we hope to consider this plan at the same time, that is, marketing our products through the Chinese network and promoting our brand.
