Concern: TDI Enterprises Aggressively Attack MDI Industry

MDI has been considered by the industry to have broad prospects for development. From the perspective of national policies, the macro advocacy of the relatively environmentally-friendly MDI has become a strong support for the MDI industry.

Based on this background, domestic TDI industry suppliers have begun to show the momentum of getting involved in the MDI industry.

At present, there are known enterprises to participate in the construction of MDI, including Cangzhou Dahua, Gansu silver light, northern chemistry and LAN-STAR chemical industry. From the perspective of enterprise planning, the MDI capacity planning of these four enterprises is at an annual output of 100 thousand tons or more.

According to well-informed sources, the first phase MDI project of LAN-STAR Tianjin new material base has started construction. In addition, Gansu silver light and Cangzhou Dahua have acquired relevant production technology.

Although the completion time of the above MDI projects has not yet been determined, the overall capacity is a huge impact on the MDI market in terms of capacity. Although the market prospect of MDI is generally optimistic, competition will also become more intense.
