Shanghai Fabric Expo Leads World Trend Innovation
Depending on BASF's fiber technology, MOOO>TM (voice: Move) can be dyed with polypropylene and can be quickly dyed into the most popular color. Today, BASF released its dyeing technology award at the China international textile fabrics and accessories (Qiu Dong) fair to help garment designers and textile manufacturers introduce more innovative results that will stimulate the world.
"China and other countries in Asia have become global sourcing centers for textiles," says Dr. Gerald Lauterbach, director of global business development at BASF's Department of chemical products. This means that fashion designers and textile producers are facing increasing demands for style, content, and performance in particular. They provide almost the same products from the simplest everyday clothes to the most beautiful fashion, and are confident of creating more and more valuable products through innovation and strong brand effect. The challenge now is to respond quickly to market demand after meeting basic needs.
MOOO>TM fiber uses BASF's innovative technology to make colourless MOOO> fibers dyed after weaving into fabrics, which was impossible for polypropylene before. Now, polypropylene can be used in standard industrial production to disperse dyes easily, and dye all kinds of bright colors to meet the rapidly changing market demand.
The most distinctive feature of MOOO>TM fiber is that its weight is very light, only 0.9 grams per cubic centimeter. MOOO>TM fiber is the lightest of all fibers, lighter than cotton, nylon and polyester fibers. MOOO>TM fiber provides great convenience for textile production, thereby improving the operating efficiency of the manufacturer, reducing the yarn dyed yarn inventory and optimizing the production process. MOOO>TM's brand slogan: "Being Light (super lightness)" reflects BASF's commitment to meet consumer needs and manufacturers' market demands. Dr Lauterbach also said: "the new products and technologies we offer are not limited to their styles and fashions, but rather to improve operational efficiency through intelligent solutions, reduce inventories and optimize production processes."
At today's China international textile fabrics and accessories (Qiu Dong) fair, BASF also announced that it will form a partnership with SANYO textile fiber Limited by Share Ltd. Sanyo Corporation's extensive customer network in Europe and the United States can help BASF promote MOOO>TM in the textile and clothing market. Sanyo Corporation has strong technical force in the field of polypropylene spinning. The professional exchanges between the two sides will benefit more customers from SANYO. Huang Junming, general manager of SANYO textile fiber Limited by Share Ltd, said: "BASF is famous for its R & D and innovation in the market. SANYO's familiarity with the market and fashion trends will help BASF's customers become more successful.
"The cooperation established by BASF and SANYO is a strategic partnership that can meet the growing demand of the industry for one-stop services, which can provide innovative high-performance fabrics for various applications, from high-performance clothing to casual wear." "We believe that this partnership will form synergies in many ways by combining the expertise of both sides, BASF's innovative products and SANYO's superior market network," said Ms. Ren Biqi, global business manager of BASF's characteristic chemicals division.
Earlier this year, MOOO>TM was able to dye polypropylene technology and won the 2008 color Innovation Award issued by the British dyeing workers' Association (SDC). The participants were from seven fields, including science and technology, manufacturing, retail, design, education, media and so on. The last three were the first areas to be added. Ms. Ren said: "the SDC awards reflect the market's full recognition of this innovation. Today, the introduction of MOOO>TM dyeable polypropylene technology into the market is just in line with the needs of the market.
