Textile Exports In Mauritius Fell By 10.3%

According to the Central Bureau of statistics, gross export revenue was 48 billion 477 million rupees in the first 9 months of this year, down 2.4% from the same period last year, and the import expenditure was 97 billion 238 million rupees, an increase of 15.1% over the same period last year.

The trade deficit was 48 billion 761 million rupees, and the deficit increased by 40% over the same period last year.

The decline is due to a reduction in exports from various industries and a 16.7% reduction in sugar production.
