Guangxi Hechi Creates Sericulture Supermarket

The production scale of silkworm in Hechi has spread to 11 counties and districts, and the mulberry area has grown to 620 thousand mu, ranking first in the whole area.

In recent years, Hechi has seized the opportunity of "moving the east to the west," and Hechi's silkworm industry has risen rapidly, becoming the largest silkworm production base in Guangxi and even the whole country.

It is understood that the production scale of mulberry silkworm in Hechi is 11 counties, 133 townships, 1045 villages and 232 thousand and 500 households.

In 2008, despite the impact of the global financial crisis, Hechi's sericulture industry has achieved remarkable success.

Li Yiren, a Sericultural Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, said that the silk industry in Hechi is not only important in scale and total quantity, but also has entered the national advanced ranks in terms of yield and quality.

Wei Jianxiang, deputy director of the Economic Research Institute of the Guangxi development and Reform Commission, said that according to the existing foundation and development trend of Hechi's silk industry, as long as we firmly grasp the opportunity of the state's "east to West shift", Hechi is expected to develop into a world-class silk industry base.

It is understood that the development target of Hechi city in 2010, the city's development of mulberry garden area reached 800 thousand mu, and cocoon output was 120 thousand tons.

Hechi has a certain scale and potential for development in mulberry cultivation, silkworm rearing and silk reeling. However, it is still a long time to enter the strong cocoon and silk industry.

To this end, Hechi proposed to seize the opportunity of the state to implement the project of "mulberry shift to the west", and to integrate the cocoon production with silk processing, silk weaving, garment production, export trade, silkworm industry and other primary and deep processing, harmless treatment and value-added sales to form a complete industrial system and take the road of integration of agriculture, industry and trade.

It is reported that Hechi will build 4 first-class modernized large silkworm farms in the region, cultivate 3 annual output of silkworm cocoons and produce 10000 ton base counties, build 10 bases and towns with annual output of over 5000 tons of fresh cocoons, cultivate 5 year old Silk Reeling Enterprises leading to 1000 tons of silk, set up and cultivate 1 cocoon silk enterprise groups with independent brands and self export ability, build 2 industrial parks for reeling silk, weaving, and garment production, and establish 1 cocoons, silk, silk and clothing trading markets, so as to promote the comprehensive development of the cocoon silk industrial chain.

At present, Hechi's cocoon and silk processing enterprises have expanded from 3 to 17 a few years ago.

The "Qi Yuan" brand warp silk produced by Guangxi Jiali silk Co., Ltd. was awarded the title of Guangxi high quality brand product in 2007, and entered the cocoon silk market in the old production base outside the area, breaking the industry bias of the so-called "Guangxi raw silk can not be used for weaving silk thread", and filled the blank that Guangxi cocoon silk could only be used as a weft line for a long time.

In order to realize the development of the cocoon silk industry to the silk industry, the pollution is not a strong performance.

In fact, environmental pollution is still a problem of mulberry industry in Hechi.

Chen Duanxi, director of Guangxi Investment Promotion Bureau, also expressed concern about the pollution problems brought about by the printing and dyeing enterprises stationed after the extension of the cocoon silk industrial chain.

In recent years, Hechi has made great efforts to tackle the pollution problem.

To standardize the silkworm pits construction in the whole city and comprehensively control the environmental pollution of silkworm excrement, and to formulate "village regulations and folk customs" to clean up the environmental hygiene of the silkworm areas in the counties and districts in combination with "urban and rural cleanliness", so as to ensure the stable and high yield of silkworm rearing.

In addition, we should strengthen the planning of industrial parks, introduce advanced sewage treatment technology and equipment, realize resource sharing, reduce public support investment, reduce investment costs, to a certain extent, achieve energy conservation and consumption reduction, and improve environmental protection.
