Vietnam'S Group Filed Anti-Dumping Suits Against Plastic Bags And Footwear In The United States
According to Vietnam News Network reported on April 9th, the Ministry of industry and trade of Vietnam recently applied to the premier for special funds to hire American lawyers and groups to the United States to deal with anti-dumping and countervailing proceedings filed by US companies against Vietnam's plastic bags.
Reported that the Vietnamese Ministry of industry and trade believes that although the case involved in the export amount is not large, but has a special significance. This is the first time Vietnam has filed suit against anti-dumping and countervailing action, so as to avoid further anti-dumping and countervailing actions against major export commodities such as textiles and footwear.
According to reports, the two companies have filed anti-dumping suits against the plastic bags exported from Vietnam, China, Taiwan and Indonesia to the US Department of Commerce and the US Trade Commission. At the same time, 59 enterprises in Vietnam were also subject to countervailing litigation.
The US side said it would hold a hearing on Vietnam at the latest by April 15th before launching a countervailing investigation against Vietnamese enterprises.
