Textile Industry In The Low Valley

In 2009 1-2, the textile industry completed sales revenue of 424 billion 815 million yuan, an increase of 1.33% over the same period last year, and realized a total profit of 12 billion 480 million yuan, down 11.01% from the same period last year.

The profit margin of industry 1/3 increased from 07 to 90% in, while the profit contribution of the remaining 2/3 was only 1%, reflecting the polarization of the industry.

In 09 years and 1-2 months, the export volume of textiles and garments in China was 21 billion 135 million US dollars, down 15.31% from the same period last year, of which 7 billion 520 million yuan was exported, 20.46% lower than that of the same period last year, and 13 billion 615 million yuan for clothing exports, a decrease of 12.18% over the same period last year.

As an export oriented industry, the textile and garment industry has been in the predicament of the national economy in the first 07 years since the RMB appreciation and factor price rise. As the end consumer goods manufacturing industry, the demand for the industry will rebound behind the global economic recovery.
