In view of the above circumstances, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce has made corresponding adjustments in revising the "Regulations on the registration of enterprise names" submitted by the State Administration for Industry and commerce.

According to the existing regulations on the registration of enterprise names, the names of enterprises that meet the following requirements and approved by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce may not be named as the names of the administrative divisions of the locality:

(four) enterprises with a long history and famous brand names;

(five) foreign invested enterprises;

The above provisions are relatively strict. The first three and five items are mainly applicable to enterprises registered in the State Administration for Industry and commerce. The fourth so-called "enterprises with long history and famous brand names" refer to enterprises that have been known for more than thirty years of production and operation and are well-known in the whole province or throughout the country.

In view of this situation, the industry and commerce administration has revised the "Regulations on the registration of enterprise names" (Revised Draft) in the revised report on the registration of enterprise names. In accordance with the principle of supporting local large enterprises, the standard is clear and quantified, the above conditions can be amended to meet the following requirements:

(four) approved by the State Council;

(five) enterprises registered by the State Administration for Industry and commerce.

According to the principle of national treatment, the names of foreign invested enterprises should be the same as those of domestic enterprises.

However, according to the regulations on the administration of registration of enterprise legal persons, the foreign-invested enterprises are registered by the State Administration for Industry and commerce, and the existing regulations on the administration of the registration of enterprise names shall be clearly defined as the conditions for applying for the name of enterprises instead of the administrative divisions of their locality.

In order to meet the needs for the gradual development of business investment enterprises, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce has adopted the management measures for the registration and registration of foreign invested enterprises by the authorized administration for Industry and commerce.

With the increasing number of authorized local administration for Industry and commerce, the names of foreign invested enterprises can no longer be classified as administrative divisions.

On the contrary, uniform requirements will increase the necessary procedures for approving the names of foreign invested enterprises.

Therefore, in practice, foreign invested enterprises have generally been asked to name the administrative divisions and have adjusted accordingly in the above-mentioned new conditions.

Although the above conditions are still stricter, enterprises, especially newly established enterprises, will be able to meet the requirements, which will still be a small part, but much wider than the existing ones.
