In recent years, Chinese scientists, engineering experts and people concerned have repeatedly proposed the establishment of the Chinese Academy of engineering.
During the seven session of the CPPCC National Committee and the five session of the sixth session of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, many CPPCC members, academician members and engineering technical experts have made proposals and suggestions successively. The Party Central Committee and leaders of the State Council attached great importance to this proposal. He has made numerous instructions on the establishment of the Chinese Academy of engineering.
