Dai Nationality -- A Water Loving Nation

The vast and boundless Hengduan Mountain ranges from the southeast of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau to the south of Nu River, Lancang River and Jinsha River.

The valley of the Dai people lived in the valley.

The Dai nationality has nine major branches: Dai, Dai, Dai, Bai Dai, Dai, Dadai, Dai, Hei Dai and Dai Liang (Hong Dai).

Dai nationality originated from Baiyue ethnic group in ancient China.

Han and Tang Shiji called Dai ancestors "Pu", "Yue" and "Liao". In song, yuan and Ming Dynasties, they were called "golden teeth", "mang men", "white clothes" and "Tang demons".

Dai is a nation of water.

They built water in a dry column and planted rice, "ten baths a day".

Water is the most colorful note in the movement of the beautiful life of the Dai people.

Dai people love water and water. They call the land "Nan Ling" (water and soil).

Villages and villages have built wells and carefully beautify the pavilion.

The festival of the Dai calendar includes water splashing, dragon boat racing and floats of river lights.

Dai medicine, a self established system, introduced water into the basic theory as one of the four pagodas (four elements of physiology and pathology).

The Dai people believe in the goddess of the gods and the goddess of water.

The close relationship between Dai and water forms a deep accumulation of water culture.

The Dai's character also seems to permeate the characteristics of water: glittering, plucent, kind-hearted, gentle and tough.

It is their philosophical thinking that the good is like water, the water wears away the stone, the knife cuts the water and the water flows.

Dai is a nation of rainforests.

The Dai ethnic group is an oasis on the Tropic of cancer. It is the only area in China that still has a large area of tropical rain forest.

Rainforests are the lungs of the earth, which provide large amounts of oxygen through their respiration and reduce the carbon dioxide content in the atmosphere. Rainforests are the gene pool of species, providing the Dai people with many food, medicine, wood, bamboo and industrial raw materials.

The clothing, food, shelter, travel and medicine of Dai people are mostly rich in unusual animal and plant resources in the rain forest.

Rainforest is the source of Dai's local knowledge, and the rain forest enlightens the wisdom of Dai people.

The rainforest is a green palace. It is magnificent and mysterious.

The Dai and the forest interact and influence each other, forming a diverse and unique national rain forest culture, creating the spirit of the Dai people.

There are countless exotic flowers and flowers in the rain forest. Dai people not only eat flowers, but also use flowers to cure diseases, extract highly valued substances from flowers, and give flowers a variety of beautiful and noble character of human beings.

They use flowers to beautify the environment, decorate themselves with flowers, arrange flowers in the new year, communicate with flowers, use flowers as media, spend flowers and Buddha, all kinds of literature and arts and crafts, all take flowers as themes, and form all kinds of flower culture.

Previous anthropologists discovered that Dai people are "laughing and loving people".

China's Green Peacock only lives in the Lancang River Basin, the Nu River basin and the Red River Valley rainforest and the edge of the seasonal rain forest.

The peacock is so legendary and poetic. It is a symbol of the beauty, kindness, auspiciousness and happiness of the Dai people. The Dai people call it "Yong Han" (Jin Kongque) in a peculiar way of rhetoric.

In the Tang Dynasty, "the book of men" contains: "nest nest tree."

Dai women comb peacock bun and wear peacock skirts.

The Dai people inspired from the forest and created the peacock dance, which is famous for the world.

The Dai people are gentle in character, elegant in manner, and beautiful in their body, decoration and dance: These are similar to peacocks, and people regard Dai as the embodiment of Golden Peacock.

    Dai is an open nation.

The "Shu poison road" opened in history passed from Chengdu to the South Asian subcontinent through the "elephant nation" (today's Dehong Dai area).

MEng (Xishuangbanna) to the south through Meng Gen Da LAN Na (now North of Thailand), northward through Jingdong to the west of Yunnan and the mainland, the tea horse road extends to Tibet and India.

The Dai people have accepted the influence of China through these lines of communication for a long time. "Jing Meng" and "Yi", "Po long" Jai, "Bo" and witches, "ridge" and society, valley spirit and Jimen, the sixty cycle age and the Western Han Dynasty are all examples.

The great rivers of Yunnan, known as the "Asian water tower", link Dai ethnic areas with the Indochina Peninsula and India.

The Lancang River "one river connects six countries", Nu River passes through the Irrawaddy Delta, and Yuanjiang flows into Vietnam to rejoin the red river.

These important economic "golden waterways" are also the corridors of national migration and the channel of cultural exchange.

The dazzling spirit of the Dai people absorbed both the Central Plains culture and the culture of India and Southeast Asia.

The spread of Buddhism in the southern part of Yunnan was introduced to the Dai people in the border area of China in the 14~15 century. Dai language absorbs the Pali Language and creates Dai from Meng Wen (originating from India's bromi alphabet).

Dai People's festivals, etiquette and literature and art are colorful.

In the past 30 years since reform and opening up, the "area of malaria" has become a paradise of human life.

In the past, the "secret" of traffic blocking has now become the frontiers of Southeast Asia and South Asia.

In the early 1950s, it took nearly a month to walk from Kunming to Jinghong, at least four days by car.

I visited Xishuangbanna in the past to visit the nation and suffered from it.

Today, Jinghong has become the second largest airport in Yunnan, and only 40 minutes from Kunming.

Jinghong, Ruili and other urban construction are moving towards the goal of an international eco-tourism city with outstanding tropical scenery and strong ethnic customs.

Xishuangbanna has become the second natural rubber base in China. The average output per unit area of large area of rubber is the highest in the country.

New green industries such as forestry, hydropower, tourism, hemp, coffee and Dai medicine have been developing vigorously.

Ruili has become one of the four largest jewelry distributing centers in China, and is the most prosperous and representative city in Jadeite trading.

The new rural construction has achieved fruitful results, and the village cement road is accessible in all directions.

The new dry dwellings are uniform, with agricultural trucks and cars coming in from time to time.

Large screen color TV, refrigerators, audio, air conditioning, computers, high-end furniture entered the general public; telephone, small tractors, motorcycles have a substantial increase in private ownership.

The excavation and protection of intangible cultural heritage has made brilliant achievements. Dai Water Splashing Festival, Zhang ha singing, elephant foot drum, narrative ancient poetry called "Shu Shu Tun" and Pu erh tea making techniques have been listed in the national intangible cultural heritage list.

The culture, education, science and technology, health, and literature and art of Dai nationality are flourishing.

With the further development of the western region, the opening of the international channel, the development of China ASEAN Free Trade Area and the development of economic cooperation in the Greater Mekong sub region, the Dai people will be more prosperous and prosperous.
