Russians, Descendants Of Russian Emigration
Visit to the Russian ethnic townships in China
Shiwei, a Russian Ethnic Township, is located in Eergu'Na, Inner Mongolia, on the border between China and Russia. Eergu'Na is located in the northeast of China's territory, the northernmost part of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and the Eergu'Na River between the northwest and Chita, Russia.
A material provided by the local tourism bureau showed that more than 2700 Russians and more than 5000 Chinese and Russian descendants gathered in Eergu'Na, and still maintained a complete Russian folk custom.
