    Zhang Jianchun Won The Two Prize Of National Technological Invention.

    A few days ago, the national science and technology award conference was held in the Great Hall of the people. It was awarded the two prize of the 2009 national technological invention two by Zhang Jianchun, the deputy director of the Quartermaster Equipment Research Institute of the PLA General Logistics Department and Professor Guo Yuhai of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University.

    Moderator: first of all, congratulations on winning the two prize of national technology invention. As far as I know, this project was basically developed 10 years ago, and the composite fabric produced by PTFE composite membrane has long been equipped with troops. In the past more than 10 years, what has your task team done? Why did the research results take so long from success to winning?


    Zhang Jianchun: this project began research in 1994. Professor Guo Yuhai was my graduate student at that time. His master's thesis is a sub subject in this research project. The project has been awarded 8 national invention patents, published one book, and published dozens of research papers at home and abroad. In the course of research and development of this project, I have trained more than 10 Ph. D. students.


    It has been 15 years since the establishment of the project and the award. In the 15 years, we have never stopped exploring theoretical research. There are many technical bottlenecks to overcome in the process of industrialization. So over the past 10 years, we have been tackling key problems, breaking through a series of key technologies, such as PTFE film biaxial stretching and laminating compounding, and achieved the production of polytetrafluoroethylene film with unique micropore structure and excellent chemical stability. In recent years, Professor Guo Yuhai has successfully applied this technology to environmental protection high temperature dust removal industry, and the army's biochemical protection has also been applied. In my opinion, the acquisition of a major scientific and technological achievement must have the spirit and tenacity of "ten years of grinding and sword".


    Moderator: I have always wanted to confirm one thing. In 1995, I went to Europe with you to study in several European countries. I noticed that in a series of academic activities, your focus is on coated fabrics and GORE-TEX fabrics in the United States. How did your trip to Europe help you? Did you have specific technical solutions at that time?


    Zhang Jianchun: the trip to Europe in 1995 helped us a lot. In order to solve military operations and training clothing A series of problems such as waterproof, wind protection, breathability and moisture permeability of fabrics were studied in 1994. At that time, the most advanced technology routes of the developed countries in the world were two, one was the membrane composite fabric represented by GORE-TEX fabric in the US, and the other was the European technology of moisture permeation and waterproof coating. The products produced by these two technologies are already equipped with special forces of the United States and the European Union. However, due to the close technical blockade of our developed countries, our scientific research activities are very poor in information. At that time, the United States and European manufacturers had just advanced this advanced functional fabric for advanced outdoor sports against extreme weather conditions. clothing This gives us a chance to observe samples and judge the advantages and disadvantages of these two technologies. It also enables us to develop polytetrafluoroethylene composite membranes by self-reliance by testing samples and cloth samples. That nearly a month's trip to Europe, through participating in a series of academic exchanges, not only enabled me to master the R & D ideas of the United States and Europe, but also got some practical samples through the normal channels.
     


    If you take the determination of research objectives, the choice of technical routes, the understanding of key technologies, and the mastery of relevant information and samples, the European trip I joined with you is indeed a key point of this project.


    Compere: independently developing the composite fabrics with both moisture permeability and good waterproof performance, both air permeability and windproof properties, it has surely overcome many technical problems. Can we briefly introduce the key technologies and main innovations of this project for readers?


    Zhang Jianchun: there are mainly three technological innovations in this project.
     


    First, the problem of poor cohesiveness of PTFE thin films was solved. The influence of surface tension on the bonding properties was studied, and the method of using material to form interwoven interface structure was put forward to improve the bond strength.
     


    The two is to solve the problem of polytetrafluoroethylene film pore size and thickness uniformity. The relationship between tensile stress spanfer, strain, temperature field and the morphology and structure evolution of film is discussed. The mechanism of non-uniform stretching deformation of film is established. The PTFE/PTFE composite drawing process with halogen lamp point heating + excitation light thickness measurement and computer linkage is developed.
     


    The three is the idea of using hydrophobic PTFE microporous membrane and hydrophilic PBT porous membrane to form a composite membrane, which solves the contradiction between biochemical protection and moisture permeability.


    Moderator: what is the difference between your research results and similar products abroad? Can we meet the technical specifications of similar products abroad?


    Zhang Jianchun: at present, this technology has been widely applied in many enterprises. The products are inspected by the quality inspection department, and the composite products of PTFE/PU and warm floc are higher than that of the similar products abroad. The PTFE/PTFE membrane filter cloth has a high dust removal efficiency of 99.99%, and the dust emission concentration is lower than 6mg/m3, far lower than the 50mg/m3 stipulated by the national standard. The service life is increased from the previous 8 months to 2 years and 9 months, and the performance is similar to that of the foreign similar products.


    Moderator: as far as I know, the key technology you have researched can produce many kinds of products, and the scope of application is also very extensive. What successful examples of this technology have been achieved in civilian and military fields?


    Zhang Jianchun: the project has been supported by the national "863", the National Natural Science Foundation, the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and the major research projects in Zhejiang. Spin The support of enterprises has been widely applied in military and civilian fields.


    The medical protective clothing developed by the project research results was equipped in hospitals such as Xiaotangshan in 2003, and made contributions in the process of anti SARS. The new type of cold proof shoes, highland cold proof clothing and other military articles have been equipped with the whole army and the armed police force to solve the problem of winter thermal protection in the cold regions of Tibet and so on. Exit PTFE/PTFE membrane filter cloth is also widely used in air dedusting and air sterilization. Industry The treatment of high temperature soot in the process has achieved remarkable economic and social benefits.
