International Brand-Name Clothing Once Again "Not Acclimatized" In China

The international famous brand clothing, which is "worshipped by Chinese consumers" and enjoys "super national treatment" at home, is once again "not acclimatized" in China.

The reporter learned from the Zhejiang Provincial Bureau of industry and commerce. Recently, the Bureau monitored the quality of imported brands of 85 batches of stores sold in three cities of Hangzhou, Ningbo and Taizhou. The results showed that there were 37 batches of qualified products, 48 batches of unqualified products, and a 43.5% pass rate for batches. 30 international brands of garments from 11 countries and regions such as Italy, Korea and France failed. The quality situation was a big surprise.

The sampling unqualified garments are mainly produced in 11 countries and regions including Italy, Morocco, Korea, France, Turkey, Romania, Egypt, Mauritius, Vietnam, India and Bangladesh, including VERSACE, Versace, JUST CAVALLI, TRUSSARDI, HUGO BOSS (rain Huo Bos), VERSUS, Poul & JUST (Tang Mei), TOMMY HILFIGER (Tang Mei), CLRIDE.n, ZARA, H & M, CLRIDE.n and so on. The products include jeans, sweaters, T-Shirts, knitted casual wear, slacks, cotton clothes, skirts, women's half skirts, shirts, trousers, coats, single suits and so on.

Most of the imported garments have serious safety and falsehood problems.

For example, ZARA trousers and other brands have problems of color fastness.

After wearing a product with poor color fastness, the dye molecules and heavy metal ions in the fabric may be shed and pferred to the skin, which is absorbed by the skin and harmful to the human body.

DANIEL HECHTER and HUGO BOSS (Hugo Bos) pants are not qualified.

Experts explain that the failure of clothing's pH value is mainly due to the use of a large number of acid and alkali substances in dyeing and finishing processes.

The sampling results also showed that the formaldehyde content of VERRI washed jeans exceeded the standard.
