He Hongwei: The Internet Has Achieved My Ambition.
He came from poverty-stricken areas of Zhejiang and worried about his life and future. Now he relies on the Yiwu international small commodity market, and has found a new direction on the Internet.

When you open the website of He Hongwei's Wanke mall, you will find that there are many things you can't see in the real shops. These things are very creative: post SOHO culture, fashion bathroom, creative kitchen, Japanese and Korean fashion accessories, personality decoration workshops... I love it. He Hongwei named it "living art museum".
Start from scratch
I was a little surprised when He Hongwei appeared in his office with his BMW 530. Is this a person who even defaulted on tuition fees when he graduated from Yiwu business school in 2004? In a short span of 5 years, I have built such a great undertaking.
If he was a rich two generation, it would be natural to have them. In fact, the small village of his home has not been opened to traffic until now. In 2001, when He Hongwei received the admission notice from Yiwu business college, the tuition fee of 6000 yuan made the whole family helpless.
His family is very poor. It is located in the high mountain area of Songyang County, Lishui. There are no roads in the village. He Hongwei had to pay 500 yuan for all his friends and relatives. In this way, He Hongwei came to school uneasily and entered the school through the "green channel" opened by the school for the poor students. During his college years, he worked hard to solve the cost of living and part of his tuition. He still owed a lot of debts when he graduated. Before graduation, he promised his schoolmaster that he must work hard to pay off his tuition fees.
Such a poor student, with young people's unique passion, diligence and hard-working spirit, started from scratch and worked hard in Yiwu, digging out the first pot of gold in business, opening up a new sky for his survival and development.
"Lead the big brother"
In Yiwu business school, He Hongwei is known as the "leading brother" by his younger brother, who is a legend in their eyes.
In Yiwu industrial and Commercial College, He Hongwei's reputation is second only to Ma Yun. He Hongwei's success is more accessible than Ma Yun's: his entrepreneurial story is true, encouraging younger students to emulate.
He Hongwei is low-key and reluctant to interview. After I learned that I was his fellow townsman, my talker was open.
He said that when he first graduated, he looked for a job and ran into a wall. It was hard for him to work in a company. His monthly salary was only 1000 yuan, and there was little left after deducting rent and food expenses. He felt that he could not go on like this, "he could not feed himself, and what tuition fees should be returned."
He Hongwei began to want to start his own business and do some small commodity business, but compared with the Yiwu businessmen who started up with a small peddlers more than 20 years ago, today's entrepreneurial threshold is really hard for He Hongwei and his classmates to match. According to the introduction, because of the strong popularity, the spanfer fee of only 5~8 square meters in the international trade city is up to millions of yuan.
Although there was no chance for He Hongwei in the channel of the entity, the Internet opened another space for him. He Hongwei, a graduate of computer science and familiarity with the Internet, tried to open a Taobao store in 2005 to sell Yiwu's household products.
He Hongwei is in Yiwu. His purchasing radius is almost zero. As a distributing center of global small commodity trade, Yiwu has a mature third party logistics distribution system, which enables He Hongwei to respond quickly to orders. The virtual channel of the network enabled He Hongwei to embark on the road of entrepreneurship quickly. More importantly, the road grew faster and exceeded the restriction of the physical store area, which could cover the whole country and the world.
Successful wholesale dealer
With the popularity of Taobao, He Hongwei quickly sold the 5 diamond seller, and then set up an independent sales website called "Wanke mall", selling all kinds of goods in Yiwu. At first, the old customers on Taobao were brought to the new platform. Because of the low price and the enthusiasm of service, Wanke mall had a reputation in the traders, and the business grew bigger and bigger. Now the scale has covered dozens of large categories and more than 9000 kinds of commodities. It has become one of the most successful wholesale network traders in Yiwu. Behind him, there are countless retail outlets.
In the past 3 years, He Hongwei has moved 7 offices. A recent move, logistics companies are rushing to help - because the daily delivery volume of Wanke mall is very large, which is an important customer competing for logistics companies.
During the chat, He Hongwei took me to visit his storehouse with great interest. One floor, one storey went past, and all the staff there were orderly and busy. Standing in a slightly messy more than 3000 square meter new warehouse, He Hongwei said that more and more manufacturers have established direct contacts with him, and his vision is to move Yiwu's small commodity market to the Internet.
After a little success, He Hongwei donated a venture fund to his alma mater, and offered to supply the students who are starting their own business online. As long as they are required by the Yiwu business school, even if they are small bills of one yuan or two, he also wants the company's people to send them to the past.
Now in addition to the Internet platform, He Hongwei hopes to get involved in the manufacturing industry and constantly innovate his own way to become rich.
