How Does Stress Management Motivate Employees To Work?
Today when I was training for a real estate enterprise, I talked about a story that quickly became a success under the "high pressure": Song Huizong is a very fond of calligraphy and painting and has an accomplished emperor. He asked the followers one day: "who is the best person to paint a donkey in the world?
"The followers can't answer it. When they retire, they rush to find out the name of the donkey." Zhu Ziming, a painter named "donkey painter", is known as Zhu Ziming.
When Zhu Ziming learned that he was summoned into the palace to paint a donkey for the emperor, he was scared out of a cold sweat. He could not paint an ass at all. He was originally a painter of landscape painting, because he was a nickname of "donkey painter" because of his teasing with his peers. He was not a "donkey painter" who was good at painting donkeys.
But the emperor's life can not be violated. Zhu Ziming, who was in a desperate situation, worked hard to paint the donkey technique. He drew hundreds of paintings about donkeys, and finally got the emperor's appreciation in a wrong way. He really became the first man to paint a donkey in the world.
From the small story of Zhu Ziming's pressure to paint the donkey, we see the essence of stress management: changing pressure into motivation.
Let's look at another example: The Legend of Jaguar is an endangered species. There are only a dozen or so animals in the world, including one in the Peru zoo.
In order to protect the Jaguar, the Peru people built a tiger garden for them. There are mountains and water, and a group of cattle and sheep rabbits for their enjoyment.
Strangely enough, it only eats meat from the administrator, often lying in the tiger's room, eating and sleeping, sleeping and eating.
Someone said, "how can a tiger who has lost love have spirit?"
To this end, the zoo regularly rents female tigers from abroad.
But the Jaguar went out for a walk with his girlfriend at most, and soon returned to the tiger's room.
A zoologist recommends: "tiger is the king of the forest. Only a group of small animals grazing in the garden can arouse their interest."
The zoo manager took the advice of experts and put in three jackals. Since then, the Jaguars no longer lie in.
It sometimes stands on the top of the mountain and howls its neck, sometimes rushing down the mountain, patrolling the manly garden, sometimes pursuing the Jackal's provocation.
Tan Xiaofang commented that the Jaguar had an attacking opponent, and there was pressure. The pressure doubled the spirit of the Jaguar, which was quite different from before.
For enterprises, moderate pressure can make people concentrate their attention, improve their endurance, enhance their vitality and reduce the occurrence of errors.
Pressure can be said to be a need for the body to regulate the outside world, while regulation often means growth.
Managers' effective ways to learn to cope in a stressful situation can improve their coping ability and work efficiency, so stress is a powerful tool to improve people's motivation level.
In the training consultation, Mr. Tan Xiaofang often said that there are many reasons for the pressure. Combined with the characteristics of the pressure of domestic entrepreneurs and employees, we should pay attention to several principles in carrying out stress management:
First, the principle of moderation.
Stress management is not a matter of ignoring the economic benefits of the organization, but simply reducing employee pressure and maximizing employee satisfaction.
Second, the specific principles.
To a large extent, pressure is a subjective feeling. Therefore, when carrying out stress management, we should distinguish different objects and adopt different strategies, and make specific analysis of specific problems according to the different characteristics of the objects.
Third, the post principle.
Employees in different departments and positions have different working pressures.
The higher the general post level, the stronger the innovation, the higher the independence, the greater the pressure.
For example, the pressure of marketing department is relatively large, because sales performance depends not only on the degree of effort, but also on the customers, market environment and competitors.
Of course, we often hear front-line service workers complain about the increasing pressure of service, the increasingly demanding of customers, the increasingly high standards of service, the increasing pressure inside and outside the service, the increasingly fierce competition in services, and some people even feel overwhelmed.
