Small Bookstore Carries Off The Entrepreneurial Dream Of Laid-Off Workers
There is a small bookshop on the first floor of building 76, Tongxin street, Zhongshan District, Dalian. Although a small bookstore is quite rich, although its geographical location is remote, it still attracts many customers every day. However, no one would have thought that this small bookstore was built by a laid-off worker who had been over the age of the year when he first reported the idea of "go away". Talking about the hardships of starting a business, Han Baokui, a 45 year old bookstore owner, has boundless emotion.
In the early days of the business, the house was leaking.
In 2005, Han Baokui and his wife of the same age were laid off. At that time, they had already passed the age of no doubt. In the early days of laid-off workers, Han Baokui and his wife were also confused and hesitant. Especially since his son went to junior high school, along with the aggravation of schoolwork, more and more learning materials. "One semester, when there is time to buy learning materials, it will cost more than 1000 yuan." Han Baokui told reporters. This is a great expense for Han Baokui, who was playing odd jobs around the time.
On a random day, Han Baokui saw his son's desk full of reviewing materials. He suddenly had a whim. Anyway, his son also needed to buy learning materials. Why not open a bookstore to satisfy the children's learning needs, and perhaps create some income for their families. The second day Han Baokui started looking for the right housing source. After investigation, Han Baokui met a doorway house in Taoyuan street. Although it is only a small cottage less than 10 square meters. But considering the annual rent is only 10 thousand yuan. Han Baokui simply took out 1 yuan from his family's 20 thousand yuan to pay the rent, and the remaining 10 thousand yuan was used to buy books. After more than 1 months of preparation, Han Baokui's small bookstore finally opened. Han Baokui was full of confidence when he saw the little bookstore.
But what Han Baokui never expected is that the bigger test is waiting for him. In the early days of the opening season, it was rainy in summer. Han Baokui found that when it rained, the walls around the bookstore kept running down and often wet some books. At first, there was only a leak, but as time went on, the rain became more and more porous. "There was once a week's even night rain, and the rain had dampened the new books in the house, and I lost more than 2000 yuan that time." Recalling the experience, Han Baokui said helplessly.
At that time, Han Baokui often got up at 2 and 3 o'clock in the evening to pick up the rain. In order to fear that the book would get wet again, he covered all the books with plastic sheets. The roofs were simply covered with linoleum paper. Besides, the first batch of books, because of lack of experience, the high cost of purchase, and the market demand, Han Baokui's book was desolate by consumers. He did not sell a few books for a month, and when he saw 20 thousand yuan, he couldn't help complaining.
Market repositioning earned the first pot of gold in life
After the first setback, Han Baokui had a new understanding of the industry. When he entered the second batch of books, he did enough market research, and all the bookstores in the city had his footprints. At the same time, he also went deep into schools, libraries and other places to see what books everybody needed, and to take a little book with him and where to go.
After a number of market surveys, Han Baokui borrowed 10 thousand yuan to buy second batches of books. These books made Han Baokui earn the first pot of gold in life. Books cater to the needs of consumers, coupled with Han Baokui's good faith management, soon 10 square meters of small bookstores have improved, and a group of customers. This rebirth made Han Baokui establish the confidence to persist in doing so. In 2005 and 2006, the bookstore has been developing in a good situation.
Five years of entrepreneurship, integrity to win customer trust
In 2007, Han Baokui made a bold decision to replace a bigger store. But moving to a businessman often means losing some of the customers. But Han Baokui is not afraid. He believes that good wine is not afraid of alley. After three years of exploration, Han Baokui's book has already had the advantage of "no one has me, others have me".
What surprises Han Baokui is that his new store has not lost its original customer base. It also became a focal point for schools to purchase supplementary books. Many teachers went directly to Han Baokui's bookstore to select supplementary books. For a long time, Han Baokui himself touched the doorway.
Now the shop is booming, knowing that it is difficult for college students to find jobs, and Han Baokui is anxious for them. "Now the state has many preferential policies for university students to start their own businesses, and there are many incubators. I feel that college students can do it boldly. They are much better than he did when he came up. Han Baokui said sincerely. But as a past person, Han Baokui also advises college students. If we want to start a business, we must first suffer hardships, and cultivate a good mentality is very important. "I hope that my entrepreneurial experience can provide a reference for college students who want to start their own business, so that they can also make their own way."
