Shoe Enterprises' Dumping Cases Increase Probability Of Success

Experts say that the United States recognizes China's market economy status, which means that the United States intends to deregulation of trade protectionism that is hung over China and the United States.

For export enterprises in Quanzhou, once the US trade remedy survey is in the future, enterprises will be more likely to win the lawsuit.

Export products are frequently investigated by "double reverse"

Under the influence of the financial crisis, the United States frequently launched an anti-dumping investigation on China's imports. In 2009 alone, the United States launched 10 "double counter" investigations against China.

It is reported that this year, the export enterprises in our city have not yet encountered the US "double anti" investigation.

According to the data of the Municipal Bureau of external affairs, from January to April this year, our country suffered from more than 10 trade relief investigations initiated by countries such as Indonesia, India, the European Union and the United States, and 4 of them involved in Quanzhou's export products. 3 countries involved in India, Argentina and Russia were involved in 16 spring enterprises. The main products involved were fiberglass, PVC plastic film, hard sugar, suits and jackets.

Most of the foreign trade relief investigations currently encountered by Quanzhou enterprises are from developing countries.

Since the beginning of this year, some developing countries have been in direct conflict with the market because of the low economic level and the strong export advantage products and the strong homogeneity of our products.

"If the United States recognizes China's market economy status, China's export of us products will encounter a great increase in the probability of successful prosecution if it is confronted with anti-dumping investigations by the United States."

Yin Xiaobo, a professor at Huaqiao University business school, told reporters that before the US anti-dumping case against China, because the United States did not officially recognize China's market economy status, the US used the surrogate price to calculate the so-called normal value of Chinese enterprises. The average wage level of China was artificially raised because of this. The result is that Chinese enterprises are more likely to be dumped by the United States, and the dumping rate is also much higher than that of other countries involved.

The United States is one of Quanzhou's most important export markets.

According to Quanzhou customs statistics, last year, the city exported $870 million to the US, an increase of 6.4%, and the United States ranked second among the major exporters in the city.

According to statistics from Quanzhou entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau, from April to April this year, 4962 products were exported to the United States, with a value of $153 million, an increase of 60.2% and 56.1% over the same period last year.

The director of the Bureau said that the products exported to the United States in Quanzhou are mainly clothing, sports shoes, wooden furniture, daily ceramics, craft candy, rattan iron products and so on.

Before April, the export volume of our city to the United States increased significantly. From the current export situation, the export of footwear and daily ceramics to China in the second half of this year is expected to continue to grow significantly.
