Xu Kuangdi: Shanghai Bid For World Expo With Enough Hardware Protection Software

Recently, Shanghai World Expo Bureau comprehensive research advisor Wang Yun Yi rate Expo Bureau Research Center and Shanghai archives received relevant personnel from the collection department. They went to Beijing to interview the president of the Chinese Academy of engineering, the vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, the mayor of Shanghai, and Xu Kuangdi, leader of the Shenbo leadership group in Shanghai.

Xu Kuangdi is the old leader of Shanghai. He said that the history of Shanghai's bid for World Expo can be traced back to the 80s of last century. At that time, Wang Daohan, a member of the Shanghai Committee of the Chinese people's Republic of China, proposed to hold World Expo. When he was mayor of Hongkong, he organized some experts and heads of government departments to study this. Xu Kuangdi was one of the participants in the study. In 1992, Xu Kuangdi was appointed Vice Mayor of Shanghai. He made a special trip to Datian, South Korea to investigate the preparations for World Expo in 1993. Looking back on this history, Xu Kuangdi said that this is not only a process of deepening the understanding of World Expo, but we are increasingly aware that World Expo is an international event displaying the concept of human development, and is also a process of continuous improvement of urban infrastructure. By 1999, the conditions were ripe, and Shanghai formally submitted a bid request.

Xu Kuangdi said that when he first started bidding, he did not raise the theme of today. At that time, the consideration for Shanghai's long-term development was how to avoid some problems in the process of urbanization, how to create a better social environment, so that the citizens could live a life of common prosperity and harmony. At the same time, as an oversize city, they played a role in the process of national revitalization. With such strategic thinking, Shanghai has made great efforts to bid for World Expo, which has been strongly supported by the central government.

When it comes to how we see the significance of World Expo in Shanghai today, Xu Kuangdi has repeatedly stressed that Shanghai World Expo is a concrete manifestation of people oriented and Scientific Outlook on Development. In December 2002, Shen Bo succeeded. In November of that year, the central government convened the sixteen largest, proposed the transformation of the mode of economic growth and the principle of building a resource-saving and environment-friendly society. Today, when we plan to run World Expo, we must realize that this is a comprehensive activity of economy, society, culture and humanity. It is an important opportunity to show the concept of harmonious development. To understand and understand World Expo from this angle, we must organize and mobilize the general public to participate in World Expo and visit World Expo.
