The price has risen sharply without any prior notice, which makes it difficult for garment manufacturers to lock in the price of terminal products.
In the latest price increase, the price of benchmark 40 yarn increased by 10 rupees / kg, from 177.09 rupees / kg in May 1st to 202.091 rupees / kg.
The industry pointed out that since last August, the price of 40 yarns has risen by about 40%.
People in the spinning factory say that the rise in cotton prices is the reason for the rise in yarn prices.

Manufacturers refute their claims, pointing out that there is a big gap between cotton prices and frequent increases in cotton yarn prices.
A Sakthivel, President of the Rupp Exporters Association, said that up to now, the spot price of Shankar-6 cotton has risen by only 7.22%. Therefore, the rise in yarn prices can not all be attributed to the rise in cotton prices.
Exporters are seeking the intervention of the central government and hope that the government intervention will help the textile companies continue to compete in foreign markets.
