Concert Of Chinese Modern Music Pioneer Zheng Lvcheng In Korea Pavilion

On the morning of June 9th, the concert of Chinese modern musician Zheng Lvcheng was staged on the first floor of the Korean National Pavilion.

The concert was co sponsored by KOTRA, a leading body of the Korean Pavilion, Kwangju, Kwangju performing arts consortium and Shen Jiaji Art Troupe.

In order to welcome this concert, the Korean Pavilion staff also deliberately dressed a bright traditional Korean pattern on a stage.

At the concert, Kwangju chorus, Kwangju City Opera Troupe, Kwangju Youth Chorus, soprano and Shanghai folk orchestra performed on the same stage, playing Zheng Lvcheng's masterpiece Yanan song, the children's song "we are happy", "Huang Ying", and other excellent tracks written by the other composers, such as "miss Jin Gang Shan" and "Qing Bei Gong Da Ling".

When the Chinese revolutionary song "Ode to Yanan" was played on the stage, thousands of tourists from the scene applauded enthusiastically, and some of the tourists hummed along with the melody. The concert became a great cultural exchange between Korea and China.

Pu Yinyu, director of the Korean National Pavilion, said that the Korean Music Festival held in May 30th gave them a sense of affection and enthusiasm for the Korean culture. The concert of the Zheng Lvcheng concert once again reflects the long and profound cultural origins of the two countries.

Zheng Lvcheng (1914 - 1976) was born in Kwangju, Korea, and joined the Chinese nationality in 1950. She is an outstanding composer in modern China.

His songs, nursery rhymes, and film and music works were 360, and his works were used many times in the major events such as the 1990 Asian Games in Beijing and the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008.

In 2009, Zheng Lvcheng was also named as one of the 100 heroic models who made outstanding contributions to the founding of new China.
