Shenyang KFC'S Salary Increase Is Alleged To Be Involuntary.
After Foxconn's pay rise, a foreign company, also known as the yum group of KFC's parent company, once again raised concerns about the salary increase of its employees in Shenyang branch.
According to Yum's June 9th statement, yum confirmed that the minimum wage of KFC employees in Shenyang was no less than 900 yuan per month, and agreed that the average annual growth rate of employees' wages would be 5%.
Shenyang's KFC's first pay rise quickly drew broader speculation: will this bring Yum's nationwide pay raise, or even more foreign companies?
However, in terms of yum, the so-called "raise" is only one of the terms of the collective contract signed by the Shenyang branch of Yum.
Shenyang's "raise" is only a "separate case".

"We are also communicating with them (KFC) on the signing of a collective contract, and the matter is being actively promoted."
In June 10th, a member of Dalian finance and trade financial union told reporters that the minimum wage should also be included in the contract.
Insiders pointed out that Shenyang KFC branch salary increase is based on the collective contract system, compared with the current 14 provinces and municipalities to raise the minimum wage level further.
Its biggest feature is the establishment of a normal wage growth mechanism.

Behind the "raise"
Multi party information shows that the formulation of the collective contract and the "raise" clause is mainly driven by the Shenyang Federation of trade unions, rather than Baisheng voluntary.

However, compared with the hope that the KFC signed a collective contract through media opinion, the Shenyang Federation of trade unions, which was finally victorious, became cautious.

According to the data provided by the Shenyang Federation of trade unions, Shenyang's KFC profit has increased by an average of 30% in recent years, while the total annual wage has increased by only 8.2%.
Wang Yiqing, vice chairman of Shenyang Federation of trade unions, also said publicly that "this does not conform to the principle of synchronous increase in wages and profits of enterprises", which is one of the original intentions of Shenyang Federation of trade unions to promote the signing of collective contracts.
This is not the first time that the relevant parties have disputes over the salary standards of restaurants such as KFC and McDonald's.
A few years ago, media reports reported that students who worked in McDonald's and Yum Guangzhou restaurants did not receive the minimum wage stipulated by the state.
Immediately after that, the all China Federation of trade unions and the local government said they had tightened their supervision over the two companies.
It is also under this pressure that McDonald's China started its first large-scale salary increase plan in 17 years, including 45000 employees in McDonald's China, and the wage level rose to 12% to 56% above the minimum wage in China.
McDonald's is part of the move to enhance the image of its employer.
In the statement, yum also said: "Yum will adjust its staff salaries every year according to the relevant policies of the local government and the actual situation of the labor market changes, combined with the operation of the enterprises themselves, so as to ensure that the wages of the employees are competitive."
But complaints about Kentucky Fried Chicken and McDonald's labor treatment are endless.

It is reported that the hourly earnings of KFC restaurant attendants vary from 4 yuan to 8 yuan in different regions, including meal stickers and meal stickers.

By contrast, yum China's market profit increased by 9% over the same period last year.
Yum China (KFC, including Mainland China, Thailand and Taiwan, China) has realized the highest gross profit margin in the world with a sales income of US $3 billion 682 million, which accounts for 34% of the company's global income.
