Nike Join Hands With Arsenalfc To Start "Green Competition" Activities

Nike (NIKE, Inc., New York stock exchange code: NKE) and Arsenal Football Club (ArsenalFC) coach Arthur Wenger (ArseneWenger) today jointly announced the launch of the "green race" (TheChance) campaign.

The aim is to search for talented players in the world to go to NikeAcademy, a highly trained training program supported by the Premier League.

"Nike football academy" provides an opportunity for talented players who have not signed professional contracts, so that they can get guidance from world-class coaches and truly contact and feel the essence of professional football through confrontation with high level football teams and professional reserve teams.

The plan was launched in 2009. Up to now, eight British players have received professional contracts.

Nike football academy is also a continuation of Nike's "WritetheFuture" campaign.

Nike will select 100 best players from the world through the Nike football elite training camp (NikeEliteTraining) event in 32 cities - Nike City Cup (NikeCityCup) and digital platform exposure.

These players will be given the opportunity to go to England to participate in the final selection and compete for eight seats in the Nike football academy.

The final eight players will start a free learning training in the UK in July 2011 and will become a full-time student at Nike football academy.

The "green race" campaign was held at Nike football training center in Soweto.
