    It has been revealed that due to the relative tension of the accommodation resources around the Expo and the central city in the near future, some "hoof worms" that hoarded the listings began to resell to other institutions that need rooms in the form of one hundred percent increase in price, so that the price of some hotel rooms rose exponentially.

    In addition, some illegal individual booking centers attract customers by distributing small advertisements, and offer quotations of "one day, one price" to individual customers, causing tourists to complain.

    In addition, a small number of hotels increase their prices rationally. For example, a new hotel will sell the remaining two rooms at a price of 6000 yuan, more than double the original price. After being complained, they will have to pay a refund to the tourist.


    Dao Shuming, director of the Municipal Tourism Bureau, said that the tourism authorities are now getting to know more about the situation, and will investigate the phenomenon of "house bug" hoarding and real estate with industry and commerce, prices and other departments.

    At the same time, the city tourism industry association will also launch a proposal with the large scale economic chain hotel in this city, advocating the integrity management of hotels and restaurants, and opposing the drive up of housing prices.

    "When the number of visitors to Expo Park reaches 400 thousand, the average occupancy rate of our hotel and restaurant is around 90%.     Dao Shuming said, from the current situation, since the Expo opened, the average occupancy rate of hotels in the suburbs of Shanghai is up to 57%, and still can digest some tourists.


    In addition, the Shanghai Nanjing high speed rail will be opened in July 1st, when tourists from Suzhou, Wuxi, Zhenjiang and Nanjing can reach Shanghai quickly. Some of the Expo's visitors will be diverted to these cities.

    Take Suzhou as an example, it takes only more than 20 minutes to travel from Shanghai to Suzhou by the Shanghai Nanjing Expressway, and the average price of hotels in Suzhou is about 70-80 yuan lower than that of Shanghai. The high star hotels are 200 yuan or even more than those of Shanghai hotels.

    For the Expo visitors who are diverted to Suzhou, the accommodation price difference between the two places can offset the high speed rail fare.

    In addition to Suzhou, Hangzhou, Jiaxing and other places of housing supply for Shanghai part of the accommodation pressure.
