According to the monitoring of Zhejiang Price Bureau, the purchase price of spring cocoons in Huzhou this year is 1640 yuan per kilogram (50 kilograms), which is equivalent to 32.8 yuan per kilogram. If we make 1 tons of dry cocoons per 2.5 tons of spring cocoons and make 1 tons of raw silk per 3.5 tons of dried cocoons, the raw material cost of raw silk produced at the purchase price exceeds 280 thousand yuan per ton. In Guangxi's dry cocoon market, the price of dried cocoons continues to rise. At present, the purchase price of Guangxi dry cocoon is 87000 yuan -89000 yuan / ton, slightly higher than the purchase price of 85000 yuan / ton at the end of May. According to the current purchase price of dry cocoon, the price of dry cocoon needed to produce a ton of white silk is more than 300 thousand yuan.

"According to this situation, silk reeling enterprises will produce more than one day if they produce more than one day." Ling Lanfang, chairman of Zhejiang silk road holding group company, said.

Spring cocoon purchase price hit a new high

A survey of China's cocoon silk trading network shows that the purchase price of fresh cocoons purchased by more than 30 Reeling Enterprises in Huzhou is 1384 yuan / Dan. In fact, this year's purchase price is far beyond the expectation of most silk reeling enterprises.

The price bureau of Zhejiang province monitors the most important two sericulture bases in Huzhou and Jiaxing. In early June, the average purchasing price of spring cocoons in Huzhou was 1640 yuan per kilogram (50 kilograms), 653 yuan higher than the 987 yuan in the same period last year, or 66.16%; Jiaxing, each 1550 yuan, increased by 600 yuan, or 63.16%, compared with 950 yuan in the same period last year.

The total yield of spring cocoon decreased obviously because of the decrease of silkworm rearing amount. The output of each kind of silkworm eggs is about 52.50 kilograms, a little higher than that of 52.10 kg in the same period last year. In this way, the total output of spring cocoons in Huzhou is about 8400 tons this year, a decrease of 972.79 tons compared with the same period last year, with a decrease of 10.38%.

The situation in Jiaxing is much the same. Jiaxing's total silkworm rearing capacity is about 240 thousand this year, compared with the same period last year, a decrease of about 11.11%.
