Wool Prices In New Zealand Benefited From Supply Disruptions In June 19Th.

New Zealand Wool Services International Ltd reported that the price of most types of wool rose in today's wool auction despite the appreciation of the New Zealand dollar. In the combined auction of nypar and Christchurch on the southern island, 72% of the 8700 packages of wool available for auction were sold.

Unlike the key partners in measuring international wool trade, the New Zealand dollar appreciated by 1.87% over the last auction in June 3rd. The New Zealand wool service international company said that the normal provision of medium micron shearing, 26-31.5 microns increased by 1-2%, and fine hybrid wool increased by 2%.

The price of the two shearing has increased by 1-3%, and the price of the first lamb has increased by a similar range. The growth range of combed wool is 1-5%, and the worst type of wool grows the largest.

The price of short broken wool has increased from stable to 3%.

In today's auction, competition is spreading, and buyers from carpet factories in China, India and Australia are most active, followed by buyers from the Middle East, Western Europe and the United Kingdom.

Next week's auction will take place in June 24th and will be held in Napier, northern island. The auction price will reach 5700 bags.
