Yiwu Zipper Products Tested For The First Time Using Alliance Standard

Recently, the Yiwu national commodity commodity quality supervision and Inspection Center (hereinafter referred to as the testing center) first used the zipper industry alliance standard to test 31 batches of products from zipper industry association.

The reporter learned from the Yiwu Quality Supervision Bureau that the alliance standard was approved in August 12, 2009, and is the first local industry standard of the zipper industry in China.

This standard absorbs the advantages of similar standards in Germany, Japan, Britain and the United States, and improves the quality requirements of products in terms of ecology, environment and safety.

Experts from the national inspection center said that the zipper industry alliance standard developed by Yiwu is much higher than the existing national standards, and has already been in line with international standards. Some of the contents even exceed the international level, which is of great benefit for enterprises to cope with the emerging international trade barriers.

According to reports, in recent years, developed countries such as Europe and the United States have launched new product access requirements in various industries, increasing the international trade barriers of "made in China" exports.

Taking Yiwu zipper products as an example, the sales volume in the international market is gradually increasing, and the technical barriers and trade barriers faced by enterprises are also increasing year by year. It is imperative to formulate and implement the industry alliance standard.

"In the past, because of the lack of standards to guide the production and trade of enterprises, it has hindered the overall improvement of the zipper industry level."

Wu Xinxi, Secretary General of Yiwu zipper industry association, said that after applying the zipper industry alliance standard, the problems such as zipper size and other vague problems were solved, and the Union standard set up a complete database for this purpose.

This can effectively eliminate the phenomenon of low price and disorderly competition of enterprises, and also benefit Yiwu's zipper enterprises to enhance their competitiveness and market share in the international market.

It is also understood that in addition to the zipper industry alliance standard, the Yiwu national inspection center has also participated in the formulation of industry alliance standards such as accessories, seamless garments, cosmetic brushes and Christmas products.

At present, the above standards have been approved and will be gradually extended to enterprises. The testing center will also provide training and testing services related to standards for enterprises.
