"2010 Textile And Garment Industry Chain Innovation Conference" Held

"The 2010 textile and Garment Industry Chain Innovation Conference" was held in Fuzhou on 17 th. Representatives from across the Taiwan Strait and overseas gathered in Fuzhou to discuss the issue of innovation in the textile and garment industry chain. Huang Weiji, Secretary General of Taiwan textile and Extension Association, said that once the economic cooperation framework agreement (ECFA) entered into force, the two sides will gain economic benefits in trade, and also have broader cooperation space in textile product intellectual property rights, R & D and design.

Huang Guanhua, executive director of Taiwan Xu Rong Group, said that the future competition of textile industry is the competition of supply chain, and should be pformed from "manufacturing industry" to "manufacturing service industry".

Enterprises should use information technology to realize "manufacturing service, service data and information system".

He explained that the company can not only provide products to customers, but also take part in product design, pre market analysis, and provide more quality services to customers, so that such enterprises are not easy to be replaced by others.

Li Chuan, vice governor of Fujian, said that innovation is the vitality of enterprises and the source of power for industrial development.

Textile and garment industry is a traditional advantage industry in China. If there is no innovation, it will be difficult to stand on the high end of the industrial chain and gain development advantages.

Promoting industrial chain technological innovation is an important help to speed up the development of the textile and garment industry, and is also an inevitable requirement for changing the mode of economic development.

"The 2010 textile and Garment Industry Chain Innovation Conference" was jointly sponsored by the Ministry of industry and commerce, the Fujian Provincial People's government and the China Textile Industry Association, attracting nearly 500 guests at home and abroad.

The conference specially invited Pengzhou, Sichuan, Xinjiang, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture and other central and western provinces and cities to participate in the eastern region, so as to drive the eastern industrial technology, innovation advantages and western industrial resources and late development advantages to complement each other.
